I am changing from Rifle and Sword to Pistol for fighting with my pets, on the basis that pistols and pets deal the same kind of damage.

Also I may drop sword and rifle completley to free up skill points. I am thinking why have two weapon skills when one will (at least when fighting with pets) do.

I'd use the search button to find my answers, but I keep getting a page that tells me that it isn't working. So....

1) Take off, hit H for hyperspace, and Kashyyyk will be there (if you have ROTW, of course)

2) Shipwrights don't usually stock a ton of chassis. Seek out a local shipwright and get them to make one for you. Also, are you using just the bazaar search, or the Vendor Location search as well? You'll have more luck with the Vendor search, because that looks at player vendors.

3) As big everything as you can fit in My personal priority list Shield, Weapons, Engine, Capacitor, Droid Interface, then Reactor.

  • Ion cannons damage pretty much only shields

  • Disruptors damage pretty much only armour

  • Blasters do both, but not as well.

Most people use blasters. Check out your local shipwright though, they'll be able to give you some pointers. Until you can get enough components together to do a decent RE job, crafted components are going to be better than looted.

4) You can buy paint and texture kits from a shipwright. Paint changes colours, texture changes the pattern of the paint. The Modifications section is for adding ship-specific fins and strakes to make it look cooler. Not all ships have Modifications available.

5) No, your ship never shows up on the planet's surface. You can only land at the spaceport.

Hope that helps.

With this new publish coming up revamping the jedi profession. The next one after that seems to be the combat revamp. Just voicing some of my concerns before (way before) this comes out.

As stated by TH in his "Art of combat" thread. Ham costs for specials are going up. There hasn't been much talk about fixing this pariah known well to TK's, pikeman, and carbineers. In short. Our weapons deal more damage to the player than to the target. Im concerned that if this isn't fixed and TH is right for once. Then after they nerf buffs (spoken of in mysterious tones for the combat revamp) and change the method of expenditure of ham. How is this profession going to function? Especially since you can't heal the damage and have to withdraw (something I don't see a chance of in most pve situations) to allow you max stats to return to normal.

Then there is the nice rumor floating around that the entire weapon selection is going to experience a downgrade. Well carbines aren't the most powerfull weapons out there. And as pointed out above the method of endlessly spamming is going to the tank. However in the art of combat article the weapons are supposed to be getting an increase in power to help out with our reduced ability to use special attacks. Im a bit confused as to what is going on here. But it would definitely be worth checking out.

And then there is the recurring issue of speed. Our speed mods are the worst out of the 3 ranged elite professions. Again there is some mysterious rumors floating around of a "speed balance" but nothing definitive.

And defenses. Again the worst of the three ranged elites (not counting hybrid professions). Some could consider a +105 counterattack proper compensation for lack of ranged, melee, and stat defense. But look at what a rifleman gets for +80 block. While it isn't much, It beats the pants off of what we have. If I could trade in 25 counter attack for a similar increase in defenses in those areas then I would. And what of this 2.5x multiplier to hit in the melee-vs-ranged area? Why does it exist? If it has a purpose then why does anyone holding a gun even have melee defense?

Standard TH answer, "these items are being addressed in the Combat Revamp, which is Publish 11 BTW, and I can not give any specifics at this time....."

Besides that statement I have no idea what you could possibly be looking for in the Carbineer Forum.

If you dig a little deeper into those posts you will find info saying that specials will no longer damage your HAM, but drain a secondary pool instead(that regenerates faster).

Well if your looking for information about a certain profession then starting out at this level is a good place to start. That and people get real iffy when you post things like this in the GCW forums or something like that.

My WHOLE point is NOBODY, including the Devs, can answer those questions at this time.....

lol dont know how to edit...

1. What is a good pistol to use? I currently have a 214 dmg 1.3 speed FWG5, is this any good?

2. What are good skills to use to level up with? So far I've just been using Last Ditch

3. What are some good PVP skills to use?

4. Is a Master TKA, Master Pistoleer, and smuggler a good hybrid character?

Thanks for all the help in advance.
