SWG can play well on low end machines (tho it doesn't look as good) AND play fantastic on the newest top of the line systems. Course you have to tone down your graphics but you can play the game with a weaker machine. I fully expect the same in JTLS.
The devs built the game so it would work for a WIDE range of systems. That takes great care, and I do not expect them to leave anyone out this time around either.
Code/tech has come a long way. Because seeing where we (game community) were 5 years ago compared to today, and the Devs' history of making things as accessible to everyone as possible, I am confident JTLS's system specs will be the same or very near what we currently have.
i agree

We all know that JTL is going to be Space combat simulation, also since it will require twitch skills, speed will be crucial and therefore system requirements will be greater thencore-game(SWG)this brings me to my questions;
1- What are the minumum system requirements for JTL?
2- What are the recommended system requirements for JTL?
3- Lag factor, some of us get slaughtered in PvP when some commando desides to use a launcher pistol, likewise when playing JTL am I going to be able to dog fight with my friends in a meteor field and if I die will it be because of lag or my skills?

its not possible, JTL is combat simulation, even single player they require mad systems, yet we are talking about playing it over internet and not everyone have cable some people use dial-up to play this game...

I wouldn't say that exactly Loomis. SE is using a different engine than SWG. Specs might or might not be different. Every MMORPG I played, the expansions always had heavier spec requirements than the original. Wouldn't rule anything out. No biggie though, just build a new rig

I doubt they will answer this though it would be blow to JTL sales...

They will answer it, have no doubt. But they won't finalize spec requirements until beta is over or near itand they have all their data to go over from beta.

What? that's the biggest load of crap ever. How can announcing the system specs now, be a blow to sales? Either your system can run it or it can't. You can either find out now, or when you go to the shop and pick up the box. If they announce it now, people can upgrade in time for launch, if you find out when you pick up the box in a store, you aint gonna wanna upgrade there and then. Announcing it now, if anything will increase sales, as people with systems below the requirements will upgrade if they really want to play the game, and thoose that dont upgrade, wouldnt buy it anyway.

This is just a guess, because I don't think they've stated it specifically yet, but I would expect the minimum requirements for the SE to be the "recommended" requirements for the core game, or pretty close to.
