Thread: B-Wing's S-Foils

When I press "O" while piloting my B-Wing, the entire set of wings rotates around the cockpit instead of actually opening. I know this is a working feature of a B-Wing, but I can't find how to actually extend the two smaller wings from the large one. Can anyone provide some help? Thanks

You can't do that currently. The devs broke that in the latest update. 
"O" or firing a weapon should do just that, but since the latest update... No such luck.

I guess ill park the damn thing until the mechanics can get to it. I need them foils people so get to work!
In other words SOE PLEASE FIX THIS ANNOYANCE!

No need to park it, you can still do combat with your unfolded wings. Though, it looks damn silly, a flying stick that fires.
I guess it's not so bad though, might take a minute or two to get used to aiming with the unfolded wings, but once you do it's ok. Still looks silly though... A small benefit might be that the laser cannons are less spread out now, bigger chance that you will hit your target with multiple cannons now.

I wish they would put it in a hotfix soon. I fly the B-Wing 90% of the times (got to love it once you're used to it 
) but at the moment as you said it just looks so damn silly...

Hmm... I didn't notice the side wings don't open anymore. Guess I haven't used my B-Wing in awhile.

Well, it has only been like that for a couple of days, since the latest update. Easy to miss noticing it.

I notice that it opens about 30% of the time. I flew my Bwing last night and I did have this problem but then I would hyperspace to another sector then the wings would open fine, then the next few sectors would have the same problem. It is more annoying because your shots no longer form the diamond and now form more of a line. I guess it is better for taking out gunboats and such.
Also, a tip for Bwing users, it appears that weapon 2 is the weapon at the far bottom, so if you want your lasers to converge a bit better, fill weapon 2 last (or with your weakest/least used weapon).

Very true... I never could under where there "B" came in. I can see the X, A and Y in those wings... even the "E" in the E-Wing. But what's with the B-Wing? I don't see a "B" anywhere in it...

I dunno, I gotta admit it's a lot easier to fire with the wings locked down like this.
