This is being posted for suggestions in the long term ... lots of people have not made master pilot .. but what about after the bulk do? .. what then? ... only pvp zone left is deep space *for neutrals* and only 1 week after i make master freelance i've allready got 4 1/2 mil pilot prestige .. 30k is a drop in the bucket and no one is ever there when i go .. and if there were .. why spend 30k in pts just to die in 30 seconds.... and reb/imp go overt in space and fight ... but what ealse??... fly the yatch and look at the stars?
My suggestion.
Faction and non faction Prestige components/blueprints/schematics/furniture/clothing/armor ..
Just as recruiters give you items you can spend your faction points give the last trainer the option to sell items to masters. or any trainer for that matter...
how bout the ability to start a quest?
example :
2 million prestige cost. Quest: Ultratech Cloaking device quest .. you are sent on a hunt for a scientific vessel ect.. basically a series of targets to accomodeer/inspect ect.. maybe a little ground based combat to boot .. end result a new component that can be mounted in a weapon or missle slot that cloaks the ship for 2 minutes *leaving it without shields/weapons during that time. something for escapes... maybe only placeable on a mp ship for continutiy sake : "no ship that small has a cloaking device!"
just an idea..
3 million prestige pts: *ala ep1* ship repair droids you could call in a mp ship and leave out .. load up with repair kits and as you fight in your mp ship it effects repairs zipping to and fro .. again .. maybe a schematic that you can buy and take to a Droid engineer and crafts for you.
Another idea to continue endgame keep a flavor and not be just endless duty missions:
the possibilities are endless .. here you could introduce new fighters/weapons/armor/schematics/blueprints ect.. give crafters something new to sell AND appease endgame of jt.
Smuggler alliance.
- mission giver whom give SMUGGLING missions ... *note ground based proffesion smugglers get a bonus payout on thes as they really know the real networking of the underworld*
jabba wants these 10 crates of muon and this 100k stack of Dolovite iron *oq 1k sr 1k ect ect..* delilvered to npc ship in orbit over dathomir. payout 200k reward speed 95 Incom engine. now .. you go to leave the starport and have the items in your pack... do you really deliver 100k stack of that iron .. or do you deliver 50k and sell the other 50k to doc/crafter at 20cpu ... hrmm the risks that the recipient doesn't notice... *ground based smugglers get a bonus to fudge the manifest* .. success you made your credits and some stuff on the side.. penalty .. they notice .. and the deal goes bad.. you are now on the bh terminals for flubbing a smuggler mission... along the way rsf/imperial/corsec npc may scan your ship and find the contraband .. again *ground based smugglers get a bonus to hide the contraband*.. if discovered .. all imperial/rsf/corsec become aggro and you gain TEF vs players of those factions..
rsf/corsec - anti smuggling missions given by corces/rsf hq npc..
rebels .. toss some ideas but mosntly esort/acoomadeeer/sabotage imperial outpost..
imperials rsf and rebel type missions..
My suggestion.

Sounds good. Some don't like being forced into a quest, but I enjoy it and I don't want to be forced into "go kill 500 fighters" all the time.
I don't suspect that these would be difficult to code, and it would give us something to do once we're at the top.

and you don't "have to do them" you pay prestigue to get these missions ... or maybe you hire someone to get one of those missions have them spend their prestigue and you buy the end reward from them..
add in ... Factioned spending of prestige ... faction specific gear/weapons/blueprints you spend prestige pts on at your recruiter *neutrals will be going to their corresponding corsec/jabba/rsf vendor.

no, no, no, no. The smuggler profession has allready had our professional niche infringed upon far to much with JTL. This would give alyone from a pure crafter to a melee stacker access to a dynamic smuggling system with should be the MAIN niche of the smuggler profession. To implement an idea such as this cheapens an allready gimped profession.

I think we REALLY should keep smuggling missions for Smugglers. Christ are we smugglers EVER going to get something for our profession?

I love the idea of being able to spend prestige points in other ways. Excellent idea. Now if only all professions had prestige points... Wouldn't it be cool if other professions had a rewards beyond master besides having your XP capped...

perhaps an easy fix for thta would be to require a decent amount of smuggler, instead of just any master pilot.

hrmm i meant that section for the master smuggler alliance pilots with a heavy bias for ground based smugglers.. .. smuggler allinace pilots are allready the redheaded stepchildren in jtl.

Excellent thoughts. It would be great to see some post-Master content other than PvP. I love the idea of using prestige points to unlock quests! Great concept, and as you mentioned, the possibilities are endless.
Though I think that to have missed this eventuality would border on lunacy. With that in mind, I am confident that the worthy developers of SWG:JTL have some great content in store for us.
