Please dispose of the "travel" option when you are at a starport, station monitor. It takes away from the realism of the game. I thought it would be used to travel from one shuttleport to another on the same planet you are on. I didn't know you can travel from one planet's starportto another planet's starportwith that "travel" option, and avoid space travel altogether!
I know it's for the impatient players of the game that want to fly quickly to another starport, but it ruins the realism and the concept of flying your own spaceship, using hyperspace for traveling, and docking into other space stations.
Please KEEP THE GAME AS REALISTIC as possible.

Realism should be coming from 'living' in a war-torn universe, split between the mighty Empire and the hearty Rebels, and from a Star Wars atmosphere radiating from traditional Star Wars weaponary and combat templates.
Making people sit around doing nothing for 5 minutes is a POOR EXCUSE for realism/immersion. Fix the Star Wars feel and you'll get your immersion.

That would be stupid your ships would be left at a starport and you would have to go back and get them plus wouldn't people use their own ship to travel if they have one?

no.
just... no.
Complain about something else... like the "half" Star Destroyers you can see from the ground. Or how the stars are rendered after the moon.
Or how you can't hit the enemy up close.
Or how you sometimes go to lightspeed oriented towards the planet. And how mass shadows have no impact on lightspeed calculations...
And obviously... you're some one who joined just for JTL, right? If you had any experiance playing the ground game then you'd have no room to complain.

No, definatly not. Yes it would be more realistic, nut this is a game their is already enugh stuff that takes up a lot of time. If I'm grinding a ground profession or some other business I dont want to waste 1/2 hr of my time having to go out to space, set the hyper point, then do the traveling, fight some pirates, and then land. Yes it's more realistic but there is a point to where it gets too time consuming and you loose the fun, and then more players. People allready have the choice to make it realistic by not using the travel selection. Leave it like that.

If you want the 'realism' of 'flying' to every planet you visit every day/hight, feel free! Most of the rest of us would rather spend our time enjoying the better parts of the game/community outside of travel.

I love it when purist's think everyone should play according to their ideals. I love it even more when they try to force their ideals upon others.

You want realism? Okay. Next time you die... don't clone; erase your character from the server & start over. Enjoy.

You got to be kidding me with this statement. You want realism then go play an online flight sim. This is Star Wars man! Aint nothing real in here.
One star for you.

Ok so just because YOU didn't know you could do this, then we should have it taken from us? And ya gotta be kidding about the realism part. Yeah ok, if I had my own ship I'd be taking public transportation, lol. Like THAT's gonna happen.
