Okay I found out that ATSTs cost 45,000 faction points. Does anybody have any tips on how to get faction points without doing delivery missions for 15 hours? Thanks!

When do you get more faction points, doing Combat or delivery missions? Also, when you get your 200, can you have the choice of Overt/Covert or you can only start with one then work your way up?

well first delivery is way safer and faster for a recruit. later on destroy missions give better points and fight skills.

yes u can choose between covert and overt. that has several influences on u.

as covert u cant get killed by rebels but u cant buy all perks, means no uniform, no pets and no buildings.

as overt u get full access to all perks but u are vulnarable to PvP

Do faction points play any role in the artisan profession? I'm a loyal emperial citizen, so I don't mind doing emperial missions now and then, but I don't want to end up shooting myselef in the foot by gaining a bunch of faction points I don't need.

Can a taylor or armorsmith use faction points at all?
Will Rebel NPCs attack me if my Emperial faction gets to high?

Thanks

they will only attack if you claim to be an Imperial. Faction will do you nothing unless you declaire as a covert or overt and then you can use it to gain special things from the imp recruiter.

I have a question about faction points.

How am I supposed to get .. lets say even 1500 faction point for a good trooper or something? I mean.. should I keep doing delivery mission and get 5 points each mission or is there something else?

I guess battlefields are also good for Faction points, but how much they give? and what else besides Battlefields?

Destroy missions can give a lot of factions points, you also get around 12 points for killing a imperial player. Join a group heading out with destroy mission if you aren't well suited for fighting.

Plus you can do the missions at the emporers retreat on naboo west of moenia. I have not started yet, only found the retreat but I'm guessing they must give more faction points.

Also, when you are overt you can get missions from the recruiter. I have not done this yet, so once again I'm only guessing they are more faction points.

While we're at it here, does anyone know what benefits being "promoted" comes with? I'm at 266 now, need to get 400 more, right? heh, just wondering..

I get most of my missions from the Terminals, but I have seen Imps in the field at outposts. The benefit of being with a faction, is those NPC's will Back you UP. I went hunting around 2 Imps once, as well as a destroy mission. Talk about luck, right there are your way point and ready to shoot at what attacks you. Try that.. if you can.

You don't have to be overt to get missions from the recruiter, you just have to be covert. Also, your status does not change how much faction points you get from a mission. The safest way is to do them being covert, because if you're overt and you do the missions, the enemy is automatically aggro. If you do them while you're a covert, they're neutral until you attack them.

you don't "need" to do missions, u can just go kill rebel camps and their soldiers for good faction.

Btw... Isn't hte max factin 5000 anyways on all non-imp/rebel i have seen its 5000 limit... so it is even possible to get 45000.... i didn't think it was the case.

but.. oh well ihaven't reached it yet, so.. its still possible i suppose
