Thread: Sorry
To all the CH that got so upset about my post : I am sorry.
I posted my rant b/c alot of others are ranting on the BH forum and I thought I would see what it was like over here. I was angry, I guess you should not post when you are mad.
In truth I think the CH must be a very fun proffesion. But it does seem alittle unbalanced to the rest of the game. I should have said it that way instead.
Please accept my apology. My thread got closed or I would have posted this on that.
Sorry dont know what happend / atl tabing the game / again sorry
flurry shot makes starget dizzy. what effect does dizzy have on the creature, does it have a different effect on NPC's or PC's. Is it more powerful than regular attack?
same questions as before but with flushing shot

What effect does take cover have? and i read the post about getting stuck init soI'll just ask is it any good? and will they fix it?
Should i be useing point blank shot when things are on top of me? and what's the difference between area and singe?
Sorry about all the questions, I've been saving them on a peice of paper. I've also been reading through his board quite alot and have found it very usefull (so thx to all). I also started to read the other boards just to see if theyhad such horible problens or such drastic nerfs as us(2.5x dam, nefed T21, acc reduce, warping, an entire broken tree); and they don't.
Is the rifleman profession the Dev's own private joke?
Thats weird I posted it once and it posted 3 times Sorry ![]()
Whiplash
It's more disturbing when the foolish people of the world are given access to the internet to try and infect others with their insanity.
I'm guessing you're a child. Or a college student at best. Get a real job. Understand how business works. If SOE did anything remotely close to what you're talking about it would be found out. Any small pittance they might make doing what you described is NOTHING compared to the future earnings they have secured by providing a quality product. These games are about the long haul. No corporation would jeapordize earning potential in that way by doing something so ridiculous. Bribes and scams are run on an individual level.. not on a grand scale.
If anything like that is happening.. it's one or two mid to low level people.. and they are doing it to supplement their modest income in secret. It's not worth the danger/effort/scandal for Sony to even consider it.
That oblong object that sits upon your neck is for thinking...

The real problem with geniuses (and even more so with wannabe geniuses) is the tendancy to assume that they are right, without having done any actual research to back up their theories.
You ask, "how can this happen"?
What I suggest you do, before expounding anymore ludicrous conspiracy theories, is to simply go to Google and search for, "The Law of Unintended Consequences".
Your orignal post, and the theory it proposes, is based upon logic derived from a FAULTY assumption: That in fact everything that you describe was DELIBERATELY PLANNED TO HAPPEN.
Bad assumption, thus resulting in bad logic, eventually reaching a bad conclusion.
There is no way that the people who designed and built this COMPUTER SOFTWARE could have possibly anticipated all of the potential outcomes of the various decisions they made on a day-to-day basis while constructing this system.
Since they could not possibly have forseen all of the problems which might arise from the sheer unmitigated AVARICE of their player base, there is no way they could have planned for how to FIX all of those problems.
Thus, to answer your question quoted above: Because its not a simple thing to do. "Resolving" it requires thinking of something to try, then trying it to see if it works. The UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES of the things they try might not even show themselves for weeks or months after they try it.
So get a grip on reality.
They are working on it, and they try what they think will work, and then wait to see IF they were right.
But they are only human, and they completely screw it up, just as totally and as often as anyone else. The devs of SWG did not invent the term FUBAR or Murphy's Law, but they are surely as subject to both as you or me.
