I've got a wookie. Before I got the game I liked the idea of making a wookie bounty hunter. Now that I see the game dynamics and how wookies get no armor Bounty Hunter seems like a really tough class to be since armour would probably be important.

Is it even worth it to try and make Bounty Hunter with a wookie? Considering marks do so much damage. Also, people talk about being able to avoid getting hit. The only way I can see this working is by shooting and backing off. Is it possible to take them out in a straight fight?

I have killed dozens of Marks and never once have worn armor. For me its pointless since I usually never get hit. I would rather spend the money on nicer weapons. I need all the HAM I have to take out my targets

So I take it you use the shoot/run away stuff? Along with some special BH abilities?

Hmmm, I'm going to have to work on my stategy and see if I have what it takes.

Sigh. All that work with my unarmed skill and I'm going to try and be a bounty hunter.

I'm a wookie BH and I do just fine. Been so since 10 July, no issues. Besides, wookies don't need armor. If you absolutely must have some external protection, buy a shield generator.

Isubscribe to the "no armor" school of thought. I got a set of composite, tried it, and was very disappointed. It took only a couple fights to realize I was better off in my custom-tailored black gunslinger threads.

Characters thatwear armor can try to go toe-to-toe with their marks. Characters that don't wear armor tend to use strafing and/or bleeding tactics.

It can certainly be done, it may just take a couple go 'rounds to figure out what works for you.

i think armor in this game is over rated and i just wear my chittin on my Trandoshin cuz he looks soooooooooo much more badass in armor than in ugly ass gay clothes.

Argh. You people are supposed to tell me not to become a BH. Do you realize how long its going to take me to get through the scout tree? Jeez!

Don't become a BH, the scout tree takes too long.

I have found that armor is more important in the PvP aspect of the game then the actual bounty aspect of the game. As a bounty hunter, you are an offensive powerhouse with little defense. I have never played a wookie so I dont know how they do with damage in PvP. If you play the bounty hunter correctly against npc's you will rarely take damage, and if you are taking a lot of damage you are most likely to be incapped. In PvP its an entirely different strategy, and requires that people work together well (I am not a fan of the all out zerg fest some groups use). I could see lack of armor being an issue (especially against those rifelmen who aim for your head). Think it all depends how you want to play your class, I think a wookie could make a good bounty hunter, it has advantages over certain classes, the lack of armor is the disadvantage.

I am an equal opportunity bounty hunter, I do not discriminate, if the price is right I will kill my bounty.

I have been absent from the board for about 2 months, well before the emergence of the first jedi due to the absence of more than a handful of intellegent arguments from this board. I have sense begun to read more and more of the board and it seems to have found a little more of an actual path rather than random theories and such.

I know several of you have formulae that you have not shared with the board regarding hidden professions, as i have many which cannot be tested without much more information than i can gather from the jedi who have emerged. I have one simple question for the board, and it is this.

Where should I go next?

I have obtained silet status for my holocrons. I have mastered the following professions

Artisan, brawler, medic (holo 1{sith}), marksman, scout, entertainer, dancer (holo 2{sith}), pikeman (holo 3 {sith} and 4th {jedi} was silent), Doctor, Combat medic, Teras Kasi Artist, Image Designer.

I am currently (though will be away from the game till January 4th for the holidays) working on Swordsman and Fencer, where i will keep unarmed 4 for smuggler and commando. I am just wonder where should I go next? I have gotten several holocrons since my silent, some have sold and some have given to friends, while i am gone i have guildmates running harvesters to gather resources for artisan elites (DE and archtiect first I hope). I just wanna know where the board thinks i should turn next once i return and finish the brawler elites. Should i turn to brawler hybrids and marksman elites or turn to artisan elites. Any input would be appreciated. (If its helps i started as a zabrak male on Corellia {city name doaba something, i dont really remember without the map infront of be, North eastern most city of corellia})

While i dont expect much of a respose to this, I appreciate any input along with as much reasponsing as possible. Remember i am away from the game for an extended amount of time and like many of you who whould be in the same situation i am very bored

Thanks again.
