What are the advantages of one or the other?
Average mass?
Gunmounts?
Ordanance mounts?
+/- to speed and maneuvrablity?

It maneuvers like a Y-Wing Longprobe, but accelerates and decelerates like an A-Wing. Oh, if you're good at B-Wing gunnery, then you'll be able to tolerate the cockeyed Firespray gun mounts.

From the descriptions given in this thread why would anybody want one of these things?

The Firespray is a good ship. The reason it gets a bad reputation is because people say the laser convergence is off. I never flew one but it sounds to me like all you need to do is find out where the lasers do land and aim there.

The First time you do Space Combat in a KSE Firespray, you sure hit Nothing....
But with a little Training, you are able to kick butts.
I LOVE mine.
The B-Wing could be a great Fighter.... but it maneuvers like a Flying Elephant.
It make sense, while the B-Wing ist a heavy Bomber and should never fly without X-Wing support.
But since many Pilots are flying around Solo, the Devs should give the B-Wing more Maneuverability (spelled correct?)
to prevent an overpowered Fighter, they should remove one gun mount.

But of course people like flying a space iron that costs anywhere from 4-7 million and more.
Flew the Firespray in beta that a friend had - but then most of the ships flew funky in beta. My Y Wing could do space doughnuts and stay on target without losing much momentum. Miss those space slides.
I only know that the NPC Firespray's are pretty easy to take out- nice large surface area in rear to hit- lol.

Player Firesprays tend to be pretty easy to hit too.
The shape and the size of those ships just makes them one huge target.

You'd think that there'd be some really cool advantage to using one, considering how difficult it is to make, but there just isn't. It's hard to justify the 6 million credit price tag just for the sake of style.
