I'm guessing that the weapons found in the .tre files of publish 10 might actually be JTL additions. They just put the models in there so that non-JTL owners can see them equipped on other characters. It would be so typical to add something ground related to try and hook some more customers into buying JTL.

The reason theres 0 content is because many of the people who have jtl are cursed with a lack of imagination. Organize a player event, have some fun. Soe has given us the means to have a lot offun. If you want a ton of content playKOTOR,The point of SWG is tomake your way in the galaxy, this is your story. Stop complaining about lack of content...

Soe may not have the best customer service in the world but they release whatare arguably the highest quality mmorpgs on the market. What they have created still keeps me upway later then i should be, even after a year of playing.I played WoW and i won't say it wasn't fun, because it was. But I'm a little turned off by the simplestic graphics, im sure they are really fun for you Warcraft hardcores. But I expect more form a game thats been in developement as long as WoW was.

Im not trying to start a flaming war, but I really think we should lighten up about the content. Give the devs some time, im sure they will come through and deliver. In all honesty im really impressed with what they have built already, its like E&B but with a lot more action. E&B was everquest in space, this is a true space simulator.

In factI think I should go blast the hell out of some Imps right now .

Devs, congrats on a great product...

I've played WoW, SWG, and FFXI.

I played this game before vehicles, and left after about 11 months of playing, i'm back to see how it is and hopefully looking for some more story content just on the ground level. I'm not sure I agree with SOEs decession to release the game before vehicles came out, as it felt more like a beta, a star wars game with endless walking, and the only space travel you did was on a loading screen. Now that I'm back I cant see anything about it yet, but it looks promissing.

There are different types of MMORPG, this is more of a huge star wars simulator, and the stories you make are mainly with other real people, and more based on PvP and such.

Games like FF11 are chock full of content, as when you play this game you feel like your playing a console RPG/Action Game online, its definatly a unique experience, but I'm not here to advertise, I'm playing both games, I'm just outlining a point.

And the previous point is right, JTL just came out, you'll have to be patient, I played this game for almost a year, before even land-speeders, and with almost no story content at all. And it was still pretty fun. So I think you should just sit back and relax, or try another game. Endless complaining gets you nowhere, it just gets you into everyones ignore list.

Point taken my friend. You right, all mmorpg games are diffrent in some way or anouther. Its best to appreciate the good in a game instead of complaining about what isn't as great.

I have played Swg since the first week, and I took part in the WoW Beta. I've even had the pleasure of playing such free mmorpg games as Tibia and Runescape. Runescape gave me a headache lol, but that isnt the point. These games all have their strong points and their weak points.

I dont know if i agree about you on one point though. I will admit that the first few weeks was a literaly a beta. The connection losses and bugs were just terrible. But the introduction of vehicles a few monthes after the launch was a good decision. I have fond memories of walking from Mos Eisly to Bestine, or to Mos Espa. Once you slow down you really see all the little details you were missing before. I played a Creature Handler for about 6 monthes so I went on foot a lot. It was fun seeing all the creatures. If they had implemented vehicles from the begining would you have been as excited about them? I know I wouldn't have. I think vehicles being added to the game a few monthes in is part of what kept me hooked.

So if your really sick and tired of the lack of Content or what not, play another game.

Or you could just use the imagination. Can someone set up a pvp event in intrepid? A space pvp comon people sunrunner did it and I heard it was pretty damn fun.

I'm not opposed to a little old walk at all, hell, If you've ever played Final Fantasy XI, and you knew that I've played all the way to lv.67 red mage, you'd never talk to me about walking, because I assure you, there is a lot, and I mean a LOT of walking. It dosent hurt the game but its there. I'm simply saying that it just didnt seem like a starwars game without being able to pilot some kind of vehicle. I dont think I'll be qutting F11 for this, but I might play both at once. Whereas FF11 is a hardcore time-sink and you need a lot of time to get anything done, this game you can hop on and go. However, there is no doubt that the presentation of story is far superior. It's just a different type of game. Square is no newby when it comes to compeling stories, most of the quests/missions involve a bunch of intresting in-game cutscenes and boss battles and such-and-such. Making you feel like you're playing multiplayer console games, as its neccesary to have a 6 man party to do mostly anything involved with tough battles. This game allows you to play by yourself in most cases. One thing it would be nice to see are a few more in-game story scenes. But I dont expect that to happen, and honsetly I dont really care.

I can see that for those who dont have a lot of in-game friends can be insanely annoyed by these kinds of games, with the lack of things to do. Like me, heh, my Guild is long-dead after over a year of not playing, so I'm friend-less and guild-less, and sadly, with player cities, no one hangs around in cantinas in the cities it used to be a fun place to talk and barter, and meet new people >.< oh well.

Yeah theres a bit of walking in WoW as well, I never got to the mounts before the beta was over. I wont say that a little more story wouldn't be nice, but I really dont think lack of a story is hurting this game. But yeah I will be the first to admit that a lack of friends in this game equals no fun.

Sorry to hear about your lack of friends man, major drag. I to have felt the burn of having my guild collapse....twice. Fortunetly I live in Tal'Alderaan and know a lot of the guys in GD. But yeah all of my day one friends have quit, which is a real drag. But you move on lol.

As for cantinas, yes most cantinas these days are very much empty. But you will still find some hardcore entertainers in the cantina of Coronet. Its pretty much the last thriving cantina...

What you say is true Tom, but I always feel that SOE didn't provide us with enough tools to make our own content. With PvP broken both on the ground and space, the game is nothing more then a grind which isn't good. I try to plan events with my guild and others but there is no interest because anything we do is just a variation of the same grind. Sometimes I can get a group to go up into space in a MP ship but usually most players I know say they find JTL lacking in so many ways. Once you have taken out 1 tier 5 ship, they start to get repetitive. PvP is too quick. Some may like it, but most don't. Imbalance is always a problem.

Again, what you say is true. SWG is about making our own content, I just wish it wasn't so hard to do.

I like the player cities idea, but because of the division of players over the various servers, it just dosent feel right with the major towns just being ghost towns now. They need to make real cities have some advantages. I had just hoped these would be like guild cities. But now the people of the game are divided up to so many places, you just do not feel the whole massive scale you once felt. And its kind of saddening, especially when your thrown from one into the other as abruptly as I re-entered this game. I'm so used to cities full of so many people that i'm lagging off the handle, like Jeuno in the Final Fantasy XI, and like ancorhead and bestine used to be before I left.
