So I do a mission from an npc, saying, I'll give you a reward if you go get so and so and bring him here. So I do, and he gives me a ledger. He says something like, remember it won't be any good until I get elected, and that's that. I look at the ledger and it says it's for recording transactions and such, no surprise. I try to use it, but nothing happens. What is it for, anyone know?

Second, about the faction points, how/where do I spend them? I've got like 200 faction with the people of the town I'm in on Talus, Daneib <sp>. Also some rebel faction, but I have no idea where or how to "buy" anything with the points.

You cannot 'buy' anything with normal faction - Townsperson, Jabba, Valerian, CorSec, etc etc etc. If you have too low normal faction, some NPCs of that faction will attack you on sight (For example, Thugs will attack me with a vengeance, considering as I have -5000 points for them).

Rebel faction can be exchanged at your local Rebel Recruiter. You MUST be of the Rebel faction and you cannot go below 200 faction points.

I have only done 1 NPC delivery missions (I just do destroy missions usually) and I have no clue what that ledger's for...

some npcs just give out cheap-o awards. I got two ink pens for doing some mission for a npc,it was lame

Question 1: if you get two survey missions for the same resource, can you get both rewards by going to one location? I have tried that and seem to only get paid for one of the missions. Is this by design?A bug? Have I been drinking while doing that?

Question 2: Can you use liquid petro you harvest for energy for your harvester? I saw this mentioned in a thread and would like to know if that is viable (before I startharvesting a bunch of that).

I found that when I had a pet grouped with me and tried to complete two survey missions simultaneously I would only get one reward. Other than that, getting two has always worked fine.

I'll take the word of the others on liquid petro-- mine is too precious to use as power, it goes into flamethrowers

Your first question was answered..

it's Radioactive Material that you need to harvest to use as energy... However if you sample it rather than using a harvestor to retrieve it you willreceive damage..

How long does it take for the elections to be held, counted up, and the new mayor to be in office? AND! I heard that a cantina is 21k/week and the vity pays for it... If I (The mayor) grant zoning rights to a friend.. will the mainenance be payed by the city? and is it 21k/week?

Elections take 1 week long. After the city hall is placed the election begins and everyone has 1 week to vote.

Maintenance fees are up in the air atm. may be more it may be less but it acts in the same way as a hosue so the maintenace fees can be paid by anybody with admin to the structure.
