A few days ago, i bought JTL just so i could travel place to place faster, and now you can take a shuttle every 60 seconds.
there goes another $14 of my money. I remeber 10 minute shuttle arrivals and always missing the shuttle at the last second. I cannot belive how good the new players have it now. I guess what keeps me here is the fact it felt like the old days when just a day ago i watched as Bestine was attacked by rebels, and the imps fought against them for a whole hour. Of course then jedi came in and ruined it all, but hey what the hell, it was fun for an hour = ]

Would be nice now if they made starhip terminals placeable like the shuttles are (craftable by the artisans?) - otherwise there really isn't a benefit to having jtl
oh, and ment Architects lol

Yes, I think that from a commercial perspective, it was probably a mistake to drop shuttle times to 60 seconds because it removes one of the main reasons for buying JTL.
That said, I love JTL anyway

mdeuk..we'll i guess someone has to love it.
i personally think it was a complete waste of my money now.
i dont really enjoy flying in circles attacking the same ship until it blows up, oh that and the fact it maybe shoots at me once then fllys in circles again while the other ship that was flying in circles, decides to stop and shoot my rear while i chase hisbuddy.
Anyways, ranting is boring. Too bad i cant get my money back.

Well it's been several months since I check the Regular starship terminals but have they changed them to allow anywhere to anywhere traveling aswe can with JTL or do you still have to take the planet jump routes?

Mind you, there are still two major advantages to travelling if you have JTL:
1) After you buy your ship, free travel! No more buying tickets..
2) You can travel anywhere from anywhere! This is the one that is the best for me..
say you're in Theed and want to goto Dantooine Mining Outpost.. with regular transports, you'd get a ticket to Coronet, then one to Mining Outpost.. with your JTL ship, you can go straight from Theed to Mining Outpost

I had the exact same thought. To look at it from SOE's perspective, I would have upped the wait time back to 10 minutes just to encourage people to buy JTL. I am glad thats not the case for those who did't buy it, but I am suprised they didn't try something like that.

But you still HAVE to use the shuttle to go any place other then a starport...
If you destination is half way across the planet you are not going to bike it are you??
So you still only have free travel star port to star port, which is all JTL was, is, and will be
good for as far a travel goes... now the wait time is lower for those short hops to star ports.
Is it going to change JTL usage? Not in MHO...

I love free travel. JTL has removed the problem of having to pay 2k to go to Dant or Dath. The 60 second shuttles just make planetary travel even faster. Who here can actually say they liked getting to the shuttle only to have to wait 5 minutes because it took off just as you arrived? I'm glad they did this.

I can't believe they wouldn't want to RAISE starport times. Not only would it make shuttleports more useful if they stayed at..... Whatever they are, but I guarantee JTL sales would skyrocket.

WOW the devs are improving. It only took them a year and a half to come up with this idea.

i'm sorry if i got minus stars on this post like it mattered to me, but seriously. I only brought this up becuase i figured eventually the Devs would actually increase the time it took on the starports, and finnally allow those who didnt have JTL to make use of people who owned Multiplayer ships.
I mean, then theres a good reason for Multiplayer ships . especially with Roleplayers.
example: " obi won and han solo in A NEw Hope"
Im not saying allow those who dont have JTL to fly in thier own ships, i just think it would be cool to actually give a reason for people who made it all the way to Ace useful.
the most common sense: who would pay someone to travel if they can already do it, but you never know.
someone make sense of this please, even for myself. lol

Clever thread title. Good explanation of longer wait times at the end there.
I don't think JtL is only good for a quick travel option, however. I love the space combat (especially in groups), and of course I'm a shipwright, having wanted from the beginning to be a vehicle and starship designer. So I think the expansion was well worth the $30 I paid for it, and I am considering buying a second copy for my second account.
