As far as i am aware, every retailer in the UK have been told not to sell any copies of JTL untill 5th Nov.

It is a fact that many HMV's already have JTL in stock, but are NOT allowed to put them up for sale.

The same goes for many online retailers like play.com & amazon.co.uk. Ive phoned them all and none of them are allowed to ship the game untill the release date. Any websites that are still advertising 29th October have not been updated yet (special reserve is one such website) i think they are deliberatly doing this to get more orders possibly???

Tis completely not fair.

There is also a rumour around about this release date been pushed back till either 12th Nov or 19th Novso that all stores and online retailers can get their stock in. I am unable to clarify this personally. if this were to happen i can see the UK gamers being completely peeeeeed off.

Just 5mins back from GAME in Edinburgh. They said it was still due to be released tomorrow but when I asked him to check the stockroom, he said they still didn't have them in yet so I should come back in tomorrow afternoon. I'm not holding my breath, think I'll be stealing cars tomorrow night instead

I know what the web site says as i have checked it numerous time. I am talking about what the actual stores do themselves! websites are obviously not going to put a release date before 5th novemeber as they will be inundated with orders and wont be able to keep up with demand

No mate the stores will be unable to sell them as well, unless you have a really close friend who works at the store who can sort some thing out for you

Even then you'd have to be very good friends with the guy.. seeing as everything now runs off the computer controlled stock managment systems. The till won't let them sell JTL until the release date I think.. he could ring it through as something else I guess, but not sure.

As soon as all this news hit I just ordered from gamestop.com. Granted I'm paying $46 US to get the game, but it's shipped from the US, and according to UPS I shoud expect it by the end of tomorrow. That's for an order placed tuesday afternoon. I would guess any order placed today would hit the UK for monday most likely.. still before the 5th (tho it does end up costing you more.. and customs can always muck you around at this end and delay it)

Its funny, if you order from either the US or Germany you arent paying that much more than you would in the UK.

eg. The UK stores are selling the Expansion any where from £20 > £25 (Virgin Megastores are selling it for £25 including delievery http://www.virginmegastores.co.uk/pws/ViewObject.vms?origin=pwssearchresult.jsp&event=link(pwsviewobject)&ot=review&ps_euk=604547

Online retailers are selling it any where from £17 (Special Reserve http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_JL6526_star_wars_galaxies.html

and Amazon.co.uk

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00029P9RS/ref=ed_best_h_10/202-7851295-4699068

upto £18 ( Play.comhttp://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=PC&title=167787

Any way if you order it from Amazon.de its gona cost you €34 euros which works out to around £24 with current exchange rate.

If you order it from the US like from outpost.com. With delievery charges its gona cost you $40 which works out to around £22 at current exchange rate.

So from the cheapest price of £17 to the most expensive £24, thats only an extra £7 at most.

a) you will most likely get it before the release date 5th Nov

b) if the release date changes (for the worst) you will still get it before the new release date

c) you only loose a few days and a weekend to the Americans playing on the Europe Servers.

It is a gamble, but its one that many of us are prepared to take because of Activisions foolish delay in releasing this game in the UK. I personally have ordered fromAmazon.de with a confirmation of dispatch Yesterday! Im hoping for tomorrow delievery but Monday latest. And i have ordered from Outpost.com (US) and i awaiting dispatch confirmation some time today. If so ill get that Monday/Tuesday at most as well. So Either way i will recieve A copy of JTL before the UK release date and if i had to pay for it in a shop it still cost me relativily the same price. Either way I win ( as long as i get them that is )

Call me fussy, but i'd rather have my box and everything in English. As this is a general European release, will the box, instructions etc etc all be in English still? If so im gunna cancel my amazon.co.uk preorder and go to amazon.de!

To be honest i dont know, but to be honest i dont care How hard can it be to pick up a space simulator, and there are always the SWG forums and the online manuals.

All you need is the CD and the Key. What do u need a manual for

(for reference dont the manuals come with different translations in the same manual?, can any one from the US confirm this???)
