Weapon firing, or multiple weapon group firing, worked in beta.
Oddly enough -- it doesn't work now, unless it was patched in today's patch.
My current deployment isa y-wing with a blaster deployed in weapon slot 1 and a disrupter deployed in weapon slot 2. The only weapon that will fire is the weapon that is in weapon slot 1 at the launch of the ship. You can move your weapons around within your weapon groups to your hearts desire and will only get the slot 1 weapon to fire no matter what -- even if you take it out of all of your weapon groups.
Are other people seeing this? Has anyone found a workaround?

y-wing is a 2 seater , you need a gunner for the second cannon

The certification for the Y-wing "longprobe" is the first Tier 2 box. You can't fly one until you have that. It sounds like he doesn't yet.

So, in all seriousness that first ywing (1st tier box) doesn't actually support 2 guns by 1 person? This ship is actually a 'multiperson' ship in this regard?

That is correct. Group with a buddy, and he controls the back turret. It's fun!!

That explains it.
Thanks, guys.
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't the Y-Wing Longprobethe 2 seat variant in the technical manual?

yeah, it's the longprobe that's the 2 seater (which if I recal right from beta you get the cert for at tier2, the tier 1 cert is the standard 1 person y-wing). Check which one you're flying.. it may well be that you're using a longprobe, in which case all the 'get a gunner' responses are correct. If it's not the longprobe then /bug it.
BTW, I missed the last few days of beta.. anybody know if they fixed the bug where your weapons group would just keep changing?

The tier 1 cert is for the regular y-wing, which requires 2 people to operate both guns.
The tier 2 cert is for the y-wing "longprobe", which both guns are operated by the pilot only.
This is the way it is in the game.
