Ejecting causes MORE wounds then letting yourself blow up with the ship... 200HAM/BF for ejecting, you blow up, takes longer but 100HAM/BF... I though the point of an ejection system was to SAVE your life...

Ejection is an escape route.

If I was overt and I came across you and your friends overt, I wouldn't destroy you. It's faster to disable your ship instead, so that I can move on to your friends that are still attacking me.

Ejecting lets you get out of there in case I get destroyed, or I can't find you again to finish you off.

Whats why you become a TKM, so you can heal your wounds.

yea I also thought this was completly retarded.. They should have called it something like "self-destruct" becuase eject shouldnt make your ship explode and give you more wounds.. makes no sense

well ok disabling someone is a tactic, i know, i use it in PvE during missions.... But the fact remains that mankind invented ejection to save lives, and technically, a person who ejects gets less wounds even if hes badly wounded... considering he'd be dead if he'd stayed in the craft

That maybe true for Imperial Pilots but you have to remeber us rebels and neutrals don't get any cool helmets right off the bat so we get to die from lack of oxygen.

Ejection makes no sense at all the way it is implemented. I do not understand it's use at all other than if your engines are taken out and you are just sitting there, dead. But why 200 wounds and BF? no idea. If anything it should be half or just BF, no wounds.

While it is pretty much useless, I've found that some NPC spawns will disable you (generally things like gunboats or a group of bombers) with missles or lasers, but will be drawns off of you by other random spawns or people in the area...this basically leaves you dead in space if you have no engine or reactor with no way of leaving without logging, so eject gives you a means of "killing yourself" when stranded...granted the way that most people use it (to actually escape when being lit up by starfighters) makes the extra wounds and BF pretty much a punishment for trying to get out and not explode in a firey ball of death (retarded).

200? I had 400 HAM and BF after I ejected and I was totally healed before I left the planet!

I hear that ejecting makes it so you can simply repair your ship... instead of having to buy a new one if it is destroyed. This true?
