You missed the armor feature didn't ya

so there's no difference between effectiveness and special protection...hmmm. Or may be I misread it. Usually every damage type is listed once- in 3 categories vuln, effectv. and special. But they say that special protection overrides effectiveness. so basically there's no difference because no damage type is listed both in effectiveness and special prot. It will be redundant. So in other words there's no multiplier for special protection. or special prot resistance= effectiveness. Have I understood this thing right or there's a fault in my thinking? hehehe - this made my choice of pets so much easier ![]()
hmm - look here :
Although Special Protections are usually higher than the armor's Effectiveness, they can potentially be lower. In that case, the armor would actually be weaker against that Damage Type.
A thing worth noting here is that vulnerabilities apparently negate armor rating in addition to taking normal dmg, so armored pets with vulns effectively are unarmored against that attack type...so watch for vulns on your armored pets...an armored pet with no vulns should be of more value than one with a few vulns, even if their other resistances are respectable.
