How is it I cannot be certified for c12 frag grenades? I am novice commando with 3 boxes of field tactics finished and I cannot use c12 or c22 grenades... If anyone has gotten this problem before let me know if there is a solution please.

Just ignore that. I've been looking at rocket launchers and it says I'm not certified til I actually buy one and examine it. As long as the damage is still the same just try to ignore it. Or are you actually saying that certification window in your skill box sheet says you aren't certfied.

Are you a Wook?
I don't know myself for sure, but I've heard complaints from Wookiee players that they cannot use grenades.
Species limitation, bug, or total BS, I don't know.

I have just started working on Pilot skills and I am going Privateer, working for Dravis in the Tatoo system. My problem is this: whenever I try to take out an enemy, the ship I'm up against seems to pull off impossibly quick maneuvers to get out the line of my shots. I don't have a very large ping (200ms or so) so that can't be it. The ships I'm up against seem to be able to turn on a pinhead and fly around so fast that it's impossible to keep them in my sights.
Also, when I DO manage to hit the buggers, the shields flash but there's no damage going on. I've managed to disable ships and I can't destroy them because they seem to be invulnerable with their shields unless you get the angle exactly right.

take some time in space without a mission hanging over your head. practice aiming, and realize that you arent a dogfighter yet, the starter ship is far too slow. learn how to travel even slower, and make the enemies charge you. practice firing while making a slow barrel roll to evade him as you hithim. Partially disabling engines is a good tactic to slow them down, but fully disabling means they stop and you often have to stop to finish them. in combat still ship= dead ship so slow him down, but keep yourself moving.
best of luck!

I am having the same problem....and it is certainly NOT down to an aiming problem. Give us some credit on here guys...
I installed JTL, and for the first day, everything was fine....I got 1-1-1-1 with no problems. Then, the next day I went on and had the problems you were describing. Whenever I tried putting my crosshairs onto the leading crosshairs of the other ship, it started warping and bouncing all over the place, and certainly not in an avoidance kind of way, something is definitely up.
All the red dots in the radar also are just bouncing around like the lottery balls in the machine, completely random, and far too fast to be the ship just avoiding me.
I have checked for viruses, Adware, Spyware. I have reset all the exceptions on my firewall, and checked all the hardware drivers in my system, and ran a Full Scan in the Launchpad.
I sent a ticket to SOE about it, stating everything I had done to rule about viruses etc. I got a pre-formatted response telling me to check firewall and drivers, (what else did I really expect?)
My system is more than capable of running the game, and I have a 1 meg internet line. Everything was fine one day, and now it is not. I have also noticed that the rubberbanding is back (not quite as bad, but back none the less)
My next attempt at remedy is to uninstall JTL, and reinstall. I'll keep you posted.

I think there are 2 different problems being described here. The original post didn't seem to indicate the anoying warping bug, just that the enemies are too good at turning.
My advice would be to practise using your speed and adjusting it all the time, as all ships manoever a lot better at lower speeds.
It helps if you're using a controller with a throttle adjuster. I use a Logitech Wingman, and it seems perfect for spaceflight.
As for the weird warping/wobbly enemy bug - I had that the other day about halfway into a destroy mission. I'm not sure what caused it, but ending the duty and restarting seemed to clear it up. I haven't had it since.

No, it was warping. They jump straight up and down, they don't turn. They go from being right next to me, in my crosshairs, to being 300m away.
Also, every 10 minutes or so something causes my ship just to stop, go to zero acceleration, so I have to start moving again.
The warping thing seems almost constant for me. I'm not on a great internet connection, but it's sufficient - or should be! I've failed the mission I'm on a dozen times because of it.

Hi. Sorted the problem. I uninstalled my latest Nvidia graphics drivers (66.93), and installed thenext olderversion (61.77). Went back in and everything is as it should be.
I have no idea why the latest drivers work one day, and not the next, we'll have to wait and see if it goes screwy tomorrow!
For now, I am a pilot again!

oh, right. I can't really help there because I only came across that problem once and it cleared up after that. I'm using a dialup 56k line, 1gig of memory, a 1.6ghz processor, and an ATI Radeon graphics card, if that helps at all (probably not)
edit: and i'm using Windows 2000. I wouldn't use XP even if you paid me!
the stop/start thing happens to me a lot too, but usually only when I'm travelling in a straght line. I think it's related to the rubberbanding found in the ground game.

I'm probably on a similar system to you, I'm on Win 2000 - I should probably upgrade to XP.
I've got all the latest graphics drivers and things, but they just jump around my ship without regard to where they're propulsion is.

As I said in my post, try uninstalling your current drivers (the latest release). And install the next oldest set of drivers. If you have an Nvidia card, uninstall 66.93, and install 61.77.
It worked for me.
