Im not really a space shooter type of guy, well Ive never played any space ship games besides the game Tail Gunner ( chuck e Cheese early 1980s, you had a few shield charges and plenty of ammo ) coincidentally i did have the high score for a few weeks.
I would like to just get my hands on a basic ship for getting from planet to planet, what kind of grind is that gonna take? Is it costly? Can I just get a rental? Do I actually have to drive from tatooine to Dathamor evading enemy ships or do i hit the auto piolot button and just zoom there?
Will i have to fly to corillia and then to Dath, or can I just take a direct route?
I have 2 copies on preorder just to get the new speeders, and really just want to travel from planet to planet without taking the shuttles... I am really wondering if that is even a pheasable option...

You'll get some good answers once the NDA is actually lifted, but you'll be able to get a ship easily.

It's very doable, and works quite well. Other than that I can't say, the NDA is still in effect and I wouldn't expect that to change just because a developer mentions it on the side in advance. I would expect the NDA to lift tomorrow morning OR on Friday (so TH can put it in the Friday Feature).
But oh yes, using a spaceship just for travel works great.... the Sorosuub will be right up your ally for sure.

ok I know there is the NDA... and I appreciate the fast response... what are we talking about price wise? Is it alot of creds for upkeep? This is great, I waste more time and money on shuttle flights than anything else in the game...

Those kinds of questions can't be answered without breaking the NDA.

*removed since the NDA violating material it contained answered the question, and the guy asking the question read the answer

And in JustG's designer diary, they said they'd be dropping the NDA today. We're just awaiting official notice that the NDA is lifted.

The price is dependant on chassis level. This guy is talking about a novice ship.
