lol. sorry. it was an urge i had after i got spanked by an ewok.
All i really hear these days is people leaving there "Goodbye" messeges on the forums like someone is going to care. I guess maybe if they have people trying to stop them and reminding them how pointless it was to stay and solo everything, they'll actually realize, "hey im going to be back in a few months anyways". lol
I think its unfair to look for the perfect Star wars experience, considering that the perfect experience will always be memories in your head, or taking peices from other games and throw'n them into this one. Sometime you have your pointless grind, but the people i see the most are the ones who rush to Ace in Space, TKA's who have solo'd everything possible, and then they ask "whats next, i mastered everything" ?! lol
I hope everyone is enjoying this game as much as i am. The negativity is getting crazy, and you know i cant talk sometimes, you get mad at things that happen in game sometimes and rush to the boards in hopes someone will hear you out. but they usually just end up flaming you. Can't blame them, look at some of my older posts, im just as crazy and stupid as alot of the rest. But im still here selln steel at insanely low prices and doing my part on my server to help out all ican, enjoying my time spent in the guild. Making friends really keeps me here more than the game, especially back in the day when we hunted Rancor's as a group, i remeber when Squills in Beta 3 were able to take out legions of the server's best bone armored troops.
Anyways.
Dont give up! Dont Solo! and remember...this is a Team Game!
[ lol. even though most of the people solo the space missions, and then make it to a multiplayer ship at the end of the Skill box where they can work otgether in a ship ]

I think there is way too much griping going on anyways. People expect too much. SWG is still way ahead of any other MMORPG out there. And, people need to remember this is a multiplayer game. The complainers out there saying they are bored or have done everything possible remind me of when kids say, "I'm bored" after you give them the world (in toys) at Christmas time. Haha!!!!!
I know there is a lot more of what people can get out of the game if they spend more time with their guildmates and not playing alone. There is still alot they can do. Just use your creativity.
Hats off to ya mate.

Bravo! And to think I was about to come in here and /whap you. 5 stars.
I'm really not sure what it is with the complaining sometimes. Did SWG just somehow attract all the perfectionist gamers while the other games attracted players who wouldn't even notice that at higher speeds, the ball in Pong passes through the paddles?

5 stars to you! Very good. I have to agree that SWG is ahead of anything else that's comming out right now. On top of that the next months will see changes that should only improve the game even more.
Are there problems? Yes. Are they getting fixed? Yes. Is the game moving forward? Yes. Does the game give me a chance to disconnect from RL and enjoy a wonderful group of people in an immersive virtual world? Yes.
On top of that SOE just hired 20 more devs to work on content! WOOHOO!!!
I is happy!!! (yep, that's the way I meant to say it.)

man! I'm with you all the way....there's been so many times I wanted to quit for stupid stuff happening in the game....but then I realized it's just a minor slip up or fluke.....hey S**T happens!
One reason I believe that brings out all the negative comments, grips, complaining...etc. is that the expectations for SWG is worlds above any other game of it's type....most of those other games are completely made up for the reason of solely being a video game....whereas SWG is a game based on a world that existed before video games.....I mean it's approaching 4 decades now since the orignal story. During that time, certain principles and expectations for a star wars world have been embedded in peoples minds and when a game falls short of those expectations, you get all these negative post in the forums. All these other games don't have a history like star wars....the only other game that could be made into a MMORGP which would have a strict history and high expectations as star wars is probably star trek......if star trek was made into a MMORPG, it would suffer the exact same critism as SWG.
Problem is that these two franchises have so much history was not made up over night for the purpose of making a video game, that fans remember specific details that stuck with every movie, tv show or book that added to what the franchise was all about....as soon as you get some of those things missing in a game thats supposed to be based on all of that, your obsessed and perfectionist fans come out of the woodwork......really though, it's not a bad thing nor a good thing...it's just one of those things that just is and will always be.
I mean people are always gonna complain about anything, that's just life...you can't satisfy everyone...if we could, it would be an absolutely perfect and wonderful world.
Whenever I feel this way about these issues, I just remember one thing.........nothing cannot exist without it's complete opposite......good and evil, tall and short, night and day, yin and yang, young and old....and goes on forever...

5 stars for all of ya!
The negativity from players is a bit overwhelming at times, but i do still very much love this game. Folks just need to remember its a game and games are supposed to be fun! To many folks get too stressed and serious about things and it makes them crazy.
That comment about the squills in beta almost made me choke on my coffee. God I remember the beta days, good times for sure, lol

OMG, I spent the first three or four days soloing out my first level grinds for scout and marksman and while it was fun, the potential for this game didn't open up for me until I met other people. The first two were sparring and while I watched they asked if I wanted to go on some hunts. The next day I was guilded and this game has just exploded for me.
Last night I bought JTL and solo'd almost all of the first level in about two hours. Tonight, I'm going to try and get some of my guilde members on a space mission. It's too much fun to play this game by yourself.

People expect to much? How about making it SW and not EQ.. This game never was done right, if it was we would have been JTL from the start and we didnt. Clearly it shows this game should have remained in beta for another year, However if they did that it would have been a money sinkhole and would have failed. Bottom line, game was poorly done, and everytime they fix one thing they break 3 others. People wonder why everyone is saying goodbye??? Thats pretty simple, there is nothing to do except for jedi and I for one dont want to waste a year of my life to do jedi on a failing game. I rarely spend any time in this game anymore because I have moved on to the WOW game which I dont feel will last forever. It does have an end game feeling once you reach level 60. Other then that SWG offers me nothing but failure in under 2 years where most Morphs can survive 3-5 years EASY and still keep players happy. First 6 months I was saying this game will last 18 months top, well i am not far off from complete failure of this game. I am sad to see this game went downhill from uphill. The buzz about SWG was amazing when it first came out. EVERYONE was talking about it in stores. Now all you hear is SWG OMG what a joke... They had a product with a great name and gave it to the wrong company to do...

It's amazing people have this need to give themselves these little "pep talks" to justify why they still play this game. This game is in the same condition it was at or near launch: Amazing potential, not yet realized. That's all. No more, no less.
I could go on and on about the things this game does wrong. And I could go on and on about what the game does right. In the end, it's a matter of choice and what the player looks for in their MMO.

5 stars for "almost" everyone.
Glad to see that there are people that realize what the game is really about and can still enjoy it.

LOL!! I'm waiting for her to petition some kind of SWG dating service to be created. With those pics she already seems to be treating the forums like it was Yahoo personals.
Sounds like I certainly won't be getting any.
Oh well, it's probably not humanly possible to satisfy her anyway.
...I think that was the most wicked flame I've ever posted.
