Thread: another question
Hello again, folks,
just another quick question that some of you experiened BEs might be able to answer. As a novice, I have schematics for Constrictor Cloth, Charigra and Pet Stimpacks, but none of these show up in either of my Food and Chem or Generic Crafting tools, even when sitting in front of a Food and Chem Crafting station. What's the deal with these? Do I need a different crafting tool for them, and if so, what?
this question only requires the use of a specialized crafting tool (food/chem). ![]()
I've had this happen 2 times now and not sure what to make of it. I was out solo fighting whatever, and just as i get a "You have been Incaped" message, a blue flash almost like a area heal or something of that sorts happens and im not incaped anymore. Both times this has happened to me i was totaly alone noone around except the creature i was fighting. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Greetings,
The whole reason I started with armorsmithing was because my holocron told me to, but the more Armor Upgrade Kits I make, the more fun it seems to hit Master Armorsmith, having your own business and such and will proberly not drop armorsmith when I get my hands on a new holocron, however so far I am only 3-0-0-2 armorsmith and I was just wondering, is it possible to start off your business with just experimentation IV, or am I looking for a long grind to mastersmith?
I dont wish to enter the market with bad quality of stuff as I think it'll damage my reputation as armorsmith, so does any of you have any advice on how to make decent items before hitting master? And what armors are most demand on except composite? Seems there's a little market for ubese, but most everyone only wants to buy composite, at least that's what I've noticed.
Also a question that's not really related to this, if I want a vendor in my house do I have to have merchant skills or can I simply ask a merchant to 'sell' me a vendor?
Any help would be appreciated.

Get Tech IV first then go up the Personal Armors tree to Ubese and Layers 1, there is a market for Kinetic Layered Adv Ubese. (My 70% Kinetic is in such demand that I have to charge 100k per suit to keep the damand at a level I can manage).
Padded sells well too but i've never really sold much Mabari or Tantel.
I would say that Composite is 80% of my sales with 17% Adv Ubese.
Make what you can and price it to sell, then when you hit master set your prices at a level that lets you sell everything but not have a huge backlog of orders.
Advanced chitin does rather well too.
When I was crafting my way up the armorsmith profession, Advanced chitin was my favorite. Only got about 48% kinetic as a non-master, but the kinetic to HAM ratio was very nice. Without buffs and being only a crafter, it took a Krayt about 4 hits to make me unconscious.
Congrats to you for finding something you like and doing it well, but if another holo tells you to go commando you might be lacking in skill points.
Greetings all,
thanks for the input, might try get the technique IV and then layers I for selling ubese and chitin, then working my way up to padded and try to sell them, also sell some personal shield generators.
I dont know if this is a factor or not but which colors sells best? or won't the customers care? I mean, if I make a pink armor would it sell as good as for example a black/grey one?
Another question, I cannot craft Ubese using my armor crafting tool alone, so I tried to stand by a public armor crafting station, still it wouldn't let me craft Ubese, do I need to get a better tool or do I need to get a Armor crafting station in my house? Or maybe both?

To craft ubese, you need a clothing and armour crafting tool and be next to a private crafting station (be it in a house or in a droid)
As for colours, the darker colours sell the best from what I've seen - dark blue and black ubese with occasional dark green suits. I only keep black suits on my vendor, and take other colours as occasional orders.
