I have a master shipwright and it takes:
60k Steel
40k LGO
10k Al
10k FP
10k Inert Petro
10k Iron
140k of resources. In order to make a profit a SW would charge around 3cr/unit (and this is a good deal) which is more then 350k for the schematic and you still need a chassis broker to make the chassis (which will be at least 50k). If you were to mine these resources yourself, you might be able to get a SW to make the schematic for 50k but you would have to know a SW that would do this (I would, but I am on the Eclipse server). I would think if you want a MP ship, you will need to earn the money first. It isn't hard to do, just get a few friends and do Mokk missions for a few hours.

no question, bring resources.. i'll make free. ask questions and waste my time... you'll pay.
and make sure your stacks are identical resources.... can't use 1/2 and 1/2 stacks of two diff resources.
But to mention something about your post, with a MP ship, the LGO is in 4 chunks of 10k so you could bring 4 different types of LGO as long as there is 10k of each kind. The steel is broken into two chunks too, but one group covers 80% of the steel.
I would charge for the service (Since I did spend a lot of credits grinding to master) but if they provide the resources, I just want to make my profit (as most SW do). If the resources are good, I would expect people to charge 10-20cpu which puts the price of a MP ship to over 1 million credits. Now that is too expensive, but I think 3cpu is a great deal and no-one should get mad at SW for charging this amount.
