Thread: I heard they were going to implement the deathstar...is this true?

If they did, I'm sure that Lucas Arts would kick SOE's ass if they did.
What you heard likely has to do with the ...has destroyed the deathstar. badge, which was added as a joke by the devs. From what I've heard, the badge is only on one person, Luke Skywalker

Yes. You have to search Yavin space for 3781 pieces of Deathstar remnants, and get a master SW to craft a schem. It only makes 1 and it takes 69 million resources, 500 level 10 engines, 80 level 10 blasters, 400 thousand level 10 armor plates, and 50 level 10 reactors. /end goofing off

Dunno perhaps it part of a simulation for rebels that luke helped make to defeat any more Death stars if they make any.

Even though the first deathstar was destroyed they did try to rebuild a new one don't forget some time later, it might be that they're referring to.

In the film the second deathstar was half/3rd way built already. In the timeline we're playing in you could implement the second deathstar about 1st/halfway built and it would fit in the current timeline if things.

You know, now that I think of it, there WAS some wierd version of the DS, I remember it from the old Star Wars: Essential Guide to Vehicles & Vessels book, it was just the framework basically, with the laser strapped on, they called it the death star prototype. I surely doubt that's what the devs are referring to, though.
They'll never do THAT much research on it to put it in.

That was from one of the books and was post-DS II. Jedi master Skywalker found it and rescued some lady whose Force essence had been trapped in the computer. Riiiiight

Nope. At this time construction on the second death star has NOT started. There will likely never be a deathstar even if/when the time line profresses... my reasoning? A. The deathstar is bigger then all the space sectors put together. B. It would be a technical and programing nightmare....
But as explained above the devs were just yanking the testers chains a bit. There is no way to obtain the badge... for a player at least.

not sure but I've heard of the DS in beta, didn't see it myself tho
