I became a scout, and basically I am told to run around, kill things, harvest them, and build camps. So I do that, but I can barely kill anything at all! All I have is a pistol, and thats all I can buy at the bazaar and everytime I run into a creature now, he kills or knocks me out, I don't get it, how can I harvest if I can't even kill it. Should I get marksman skills? Please help!

get either marksman or brawler. I perfer brawler, as you can become a teras kase artist later, and really do some damage along with your pets.

Yes get marksman. Once you get your first box in pistol skill you will be able to learn bodyshot which greatly improves your killing power.

Also make sure you aren't taking on too difficult of creatures, stick to the things right outside towns. They should have a White, Blue or Green little circle by their name if you want a chance to kill it. You will most likely die to any Yellow or Red circles. (or use /con )

Okay here is my situation. I'm a scout and I rely on my "generic crafting tool" a whole bunch. A little while ago, my power to my computer was cut off by a storm while I was crafting a new trap. I restore the game and when I looked in my inventory the trap was there. It managed to be completed just in time before the power flickered off and on. Now whenever I try and access my "generic crafting tool" it gives me the message "Failed to start crafting session." I checked my radial of the tool itself and it doesn't have any items pending completion. Have any of you guys experienced this? Or is there something I am just missing or forgot about? Please help me...

Try clicking on the generic crafting tool and hold it. Another option Retreive finished prototype should appear i think.

try /stopcrafting

Hey, I get that message sometimes....even when there is nothing being held in my tool...what usaully fixes it for me is rebooting and logging back in....try that...if it doesnt help...cant help you there..

If all else fails - buy a new one. I had a problem with my GCT also and I just trashed it and bought a new one. Find any artisan and he'll gladly trade you one for a ball of earwax and some pocket lint.

I already tried buying a new one, but I will trying rebooting my computer. Maybe that'll help. Thanks guys.

Ok finally grinded my way to Novice Bio-engineer. I went to go and take a dna sample from a creature and it wouldnt let me. Is there a tool that I am supposed to use while taking samples? If so how do I create it, whats its name? Better yet is there a begginer tutotrial on BE?
