Thread: worst part about being full temp

been done for about11 months...now what do I do?
I'm overt 90% of the time. 95% of the time I'm overt I cant find an overt reb to fight. The other 5% of the time there are about 6-7 reb jedi running around overt and I cant find a group to take them out. I blamesome of this on me living in Europe and most of the PVPers live in the US but I blameMOST of this on SOE for jacking up what could have been the bestRPG ever. I have more fun watching old pre cu vids off the forums than I do actually playing the game.
yup...I'm bitching. But I feel better
Sounds just like how Shadowfire is. I hardly ever log in anymore. Atleast the forums can be entertaining.
- I've found theres not much point to pvp atm cos on farstar its like 90% rebel and us imps dont do much
, i'll probably start pvping again if the frs ever comes back. - I've done a lot of jtl gathering excellent components for Re'ing.
- I've changed my jedi template about 5 times, lol.
- since there are so many new jedi that i know now, I've spent a lot of time either tanking in their aoe groups, totaly speeding up their grind or showing them the robes of jedi.
- Most of the time i just play my alt

then u get on the forums and b*tch/complain and call everybody else a nub
lol
exactly what I'm doin.
every now and then I ctrl+tab to see if there is a bh outside my houst fight too ![]()
I completely understand that once a person finishes jedi, they feel like their is nothing else to do. I think the reason is because most people are goal oriented. getting a finished jedi template was a goal and by the time you get to a finished jedi template, you've most likely already done or finished every thing else the game has to offer. So once you get to this point, there are no more goals. Without goals, there isn't any incentive to continue.
With SOE making achieving jedi and leveling jedi so easy, it simply speeded up the process so people get bored faster than the devs can build new content. So now people just quit the game until the next expansion comes out or they hear about some improvements being made (like CU) and then they come back and rush through everything that's new.
For the most part, powergamers or people who can play 20 - 30 hours a week will get bored quick. The casual players won't because they simply don't have the time to play that much and it will take them the better part of 2 years to get anywhere near what the powergamer has accomplished. So there is always more to do for the casual player. Heck, by the time the casual player finishes the force sensitive grind, there may be two new expansions out, by the time they get finished with those expansions, another will be out. This is the group SOE seems to target with the speed at which they put content in the game.
As far as what's left to do, well, I'm 15 points away from finishing my template and I know that I enjoy doing many things besides pvp, looting mobs or trying to have the best of the best items on the server. In fact, PVP is the last thing that makes this game fun for me. It actually makes it more stressful because one /bug or bad change introduced to the game can screw up your enjoyment of pvp (it's certainly that way since CU). So rather put all my enjoyment of one part of the game. I try and look at the game in an overall point of view in which there are many levels of playing the game.
For example, how many people immerse themselves in the stories npc's tell you when your doing their missions? Most people just click through the dialog just so they can get to killing stuff or whatever. If it's all about the action or what you can gain by doing certain things, you will get bored.
Then for staying with a specific game, there is always an end point. As much as we want it be, games were not meant to go on forever. It's like a journey or a quest, you have to reach the end at somepoint, otherwise whats the point if there is never an end to anything. you can only do the same thing over and over again so much before you simply get bored with it. It just might be your time to move on to another game and then come back to this one when you get that itch....because you WILL always get that itch if your even like star wars a tiny bit....at least I do..LOL
