Thread: skills only accessable from having two mastered disciplines
Nice threed Neomonk. I figured this was not a new idea on my part. Still it should be raised again because its ideas that adds to the game without nerfing the current profession.
Wolf your post raises more ideas that fit in with this threed. You could master like 4 certain branches among the jedi skills to open a unique skill box. Then your dabbler could be something that allows you access to more special abilities. You could dabble and get access to like several different abilities fromt he combinations available. It might take a bit of thinking what a person would get with certain dabblings, but then others could help decide what a person shold be able to do if they know a certain number of things.

Here were my ideas...
ME/MH - An aura that works up to 10-15m that ups the Health/Force regen of allies by 10%
ME/MD - An aura that works up to 10-15m that ups the Melee/Ranged defense by 10%
ME/MS - An area saber throw that Snares the enemy in the area of the throw
ME/MP - An aura that works up to 10-15m that has 100 DPS or so (think Lightning Aura)
MH/MD - A force power that you can apply on someone to take part of the damage they are taking; so, say, 50% of the damage they are taking would go to you instead
MH/MS - A force power that you can apply to someone that would heal them according to the damage they deal; so they would hit for 500 and get healed for 250 points
MH/MP - You can steal health from your target and give it to an ally, so you do 500 damage to a target and can heal an ally for 250, maybe works through the pass-through feature
MD/MS - A saber flurry that allows you to partially deflect incoming attacks in a certain area (kinda like Aura/Valor but as an area effect)
MD/MP - Kinda like the MD/MS move but you reflect the damage back to the attacker
MS/MP - Kinda like the original poster's idea, you have your saber fly around you in a circle dealing damage in the area, pure offense
