Thread: Are PVP jedi going to become rare?

I would imagine a large portion of people becoming Jedi at the start, but when everything gets ironed out do you think there will be many PVPer's taking melee over ranged?
Respectable jedi to troll in one publish.

from what i saw, jedi seem to have real nice defenses threw special abilities, and the saber block ability seems like itll be real nice, and some attacks have snares, now i have no idea if other professions have snares or not, but itll help yah catch up, plus force run is a 3 second burst, i dunno how fast itll be though but it may be enuf to catch up to anyone whos outta your range
offcourse i think more jedi will be into pve over pvp

As mentioned above, Jedi will not be the be-all, end-all of the game now. I'm pretty confident in thinking that a lot of people will move from jedi to become something else now that they can. Commando's will be hitting a lot harder for starters, i reckon. Anyone can be a jedi now but that doesn't mean everyone will. I'll only keep one of my characters as a jedi because i have three to choose from. Otherwise i'd consider doing something else ranged.

As it stands, NGE Jedi are finished in PVP.
1/. Any ranged profession can kite and fire while the Jedi runs to get their little, tiny crosshairs on you.
2/. Anyone outside 1000 miles of the server will get choppiness and lag. Europeans playing on US servers and Australians will be at a severe disadvantage. God knows what any Asian players, left over from the collapse of the Japanese servers, are going to do.

I recommend you stop trolling the forums stooging for the NGE and get on TC so you can actually experience it for yourself. Otherwise, how will you ever be Jedi Correspondent?
