Thread: Thoughts on the new snare changes

It seems to me that something that would help jedi immensely is to raise the amount of saber block we can do. This would enable non-defender templates to have a much better survivability. And it will encourage a variation in templates that is currently severely lacking. If you refer to theprequel movies, jedi were often out ranged the majority of the time. It was their ability to deflect, and more importantly reflect blaster bolts that allowed them to close with an opponent to finish the fight.


So I think increase our innate saber block ability would solve a lot of problems for us, and allow us to go toe to toe using a profession which:


  • Has no ability to use armour

  • Is required to salvage looted components just to make our base weapon, let alone one with superior damage.

  • Is limited in attack distance

  • Is forced into conflict with a ranged profession(I dont mind being hunted btw, I just think the interaction between ranged/melee should be balanced)

In short - Increase the innate saber block back up to where we can choose not to have defender (for the main of jedi, i realise some have perfected their template to not have to use it). In addition allow jedi to REFLECT damage back at the opponent. Not all the time, but it should be possible. After all, BH can do it, and Melee also have a reflect ability - its time for jedi, whose iconic ability to redirect blaster fire is so prevalent in the movies, to have the skills they deserve.
