A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that GCW used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could kill all the rebels
And, maybe, I would be happy for a while.
But August made me shiver
With every jedi I’d see.
Bad news on the forums;
I couldn’t take one more step.
I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about all the jedi,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the GCW died.
So bye-bye, miss Imperial pride.
Drove my swoop to the cantina,
But the cantina was empty.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ Brandy and Jawa beer
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."

I dunno what killed the GCW on your server. On mine it was 1 rebel guild placing an uncountable number of bases on every single planet they could, having AFKed faction points every day for several months. I suggest that this sort of "gameplay" has more to do with the death of the GCW than jedi...
