I have some questions about an experience I had being hunted tonight. My template is master sabers, enhancer 3402, healer 4000, and defender 4040. I was incapped in two shots. Both did exactly 1926 damage. I thought I would get a fair chance to fight. My incap timer set at ten seconds and I didn't think there was anyway he could close that distance(62 m)up a steep hill on dathomir. He got the deathblow before my clock even counted below 9. He never got closer than 58 m at any time before or after the fight.
The question I have for the community is can you deathblow at range now? Have they changed that?

I believe rifleman has always had a ranged deathblow.

I was certain they removed ranged DB. Just as a cover all the bases, are you sure you were attacked by a player BH and not an NPC?

Ranged db is gone. My guess is that it was an NPC or a lag spike on your end.

were you overt? I don't know if a cloaked jedi can DB from cloak... just throwing out a thought?

it was a bounty. I have all the system messages and the XP loss. I have been hunted by the hunter many times.

No ranged profession has a ranged deathblow skill. OTOH, one of the range extending cyber arms issupposed to offera ranged deathblow skill with it.
Been a long time since I've used it so I don't know if it still works or not.

it would make sense, you said he was over 60m, maybe just something they forgot to edit out.

Nope, that was removed with the CU.

The ranged arm does indeed have a DB on it and it does work as I used it tonight. It just seems to miss quite a bit more than normal shots.
