Thread: Why do we have publishes anymore???

Publishes make no one happy. They do not make the general population happy because it usually results in more bugs, nerfs and frustration. This forces us to spend many hours regrinding to something that isnt the nerf bats FOTM. It doesn't make anyone in authority happy because each publish equals im guessing probably close to a 5% drop in population which equals money. Publishes were ment to bring people back, fix bugs, and give us something to be happy to log in about. I speak for the majority of the player base when I say we would prefer(or not care) if publish 24 was never published.

Well, would you rather have the last few publishes in effect or not....I mean unless you love watching your jedi run out of action and mindwith just basic attacks....

Ban me!
Only then will you show that your only response to our outcry is to silence us. Prove to us that you and the devs don't want to respond to us. Then you will show your true nature to the dark side of marketing.

Ban me, and take your role along sony, and rule the corporate world as rich boss and wanna-be lacky!

Take your button, and strike me down with all your corperate policies! I am unarmed

Some changes are questionable, every new thing they enter may or may not have some bugs, but they go on testcenter for a month or something before live. Maybe its the player base not helping test things thoroughly enough.

No, I would rather they left it the same and work out some compromise for Snare (how about a long cooldown?). Fix the GCW - eg, planetside style base control system (IN A NEW PUBLISH), and keep going with the new Profession revamps (Ranger, Smuggler).

Theres been a FEW publishes since we've been waiting on that. You don't see the pattern? Each publish raises one profession to be uber uber, then the hotfix nerfs it down below the rest of them, then the new publish raises another, then another hotfix nerfs it, rinse and repeat 32 times......

They should give a grace period of 1 to 2 weeks when they release a patch when it comes to any kind of loss, be it xp or condition because they change the game so much that it can be like a new game at times. Give the people a chance to learn it before you penalize them with xp loss. I know how it is, when the cu came out I didn't know how to play my jedi anymore and I got killed in 2 hits by a bh while I was rooted.

So you would rather professions just sit idle and useless?

What do you think rangers do now, the only thing they're good for is harvesting meat or hide.

After their revamp they will be a fun profession to play as. Every game has its bugs, instead of whinging everywhere why don't you just report them in bug threads and offer suggestions to the Devs.

Because they dont listen. Rifleman asked for a bit stronger snares and the whole system gets revamped. Why bother to suggest anything? We still have no FRS, no premium pearls, broken heals, sabers and various Enhancer/Defender/Powers bugs.

Its not that we dont make suggestions and corrections. We do. They just dont care to hear it, or they acknowledge it and never actually get around to fixing it properly. [Like the AS color bug]

thats a never ending chore.......And the COMBAT UPGRADE was supposed to equal everthing out, wow what a longshot that was. I realize it wasn't going to be perfect the first try but at least they could try to move forward not backwards...

Actually, if you read the initial revamp system, the combat upgrade was supposed to be 'rock paper scissors'. "Damage, Crowd Control and Tanking".

The other thing was, the snare changes were because SquadLeader has 3 movement speed enhancement skills, they needed a counter for this, hence snare became more powerful..
