Thread: Honestly, did ANYONE complain that SNARES were underpowered?

Why do they pull this stuff out of thin air, instead of working on the things WE say WE WANT THEM TO WORK ON?

well... some of us did complain about a snare not being strong enough but not all snares- just the rifleman snarebecause the snare was less effective then the encumbrance of packing a rifle.

I really don't understand the need for the change to the snare system myself and I think it is not the best idea that they ever had by a long shot

NO, I think most of the complaining was about the jedi running 85 meters away and cloaking. So instead of making an actual smart decision to correct it, they went overboard as usual. But on a side note, they did finally fix the armor color crate issues, and it only took em 6 publishes. So with that track record, you can expect to see this fixed around 1/07.

Yea, that's how the game works, each profession has it's own unique attributes, BOUNTY HUNTERS get to hunt Jedi and cause XP loss, Powers Jedi get to run and cloak. DEAL WITH IT.

This is ridiculous. A rifleman corro responds on ur forums about Patch 24 than our own corro....just great....

The snares were another way of slowing down the jedi grind. Umm maybe the new FOTM jedi will have root as a must then.. Or maybe most jedi will have to possibly look at mastering defender instead of playing jedi as a line of this and that.

Yea but by that time our sabers will be "bugged" into not only looking like cdef rifles, but doing that dmg too...of course, thats only 30 less dps for some post-cu jedi

Dude, I wasnt sticking up for soe. Quite the contrary. I think what they did was absolutely the worst. But based upon their track record, dont expect a fix anytime soon is what I was saying. Re-read what I wrote.

I dont know about snare but over on the pickets forums they have been calling for a AI nerf for awhile.
Good thing they balanced that out, where would we get our XP if the pickets quit.

The actual reason for the snares change (given by the devs) is in direct relation to the new squadleader abilities - 3 of them give increased speed, a lot faster than burst run with one of them I beleive. Theres one that gives +50 terrain negotiation with about 3/4 burst speed, for the entire group.

I can understand the reason to put this snare change in, but judging by the players response, wouldn't it be better if they just made the snare effect (the way it does post-pub-24) the squadleader enhancements only, instead of burst run and force run?

I too think the snares thing is more annoyance then anything and I am not a jedi. It seems designed to totally thwart any tank. I am a MBH/MCH and I am not really into hunting jedi what I was into was doing those fun solo npcmissions. Then the devs jacked them up to ridiculous regen rates, and now as a tank I have no chance. I cancelled my accounts and my jedi friends are leaning towards cancelling.

1. The snare change need not have happened.

2. The difficulties are ridiculous all for npcs useing specials thats cute and fun what is not fun is the ridiculous regen and armor they slapped on without even makeing that clear in the patch notes. No those arent AI tweeks they are cheap overpowering.

3. Squad leader/ MBH are hitting for what kind of damage okay your makeing that up right nope saw another player 1 shot incapped today.
