Considering we grinded alot for jedi to be starting profession i dont think this is such a hard thing to do

To be honest i dont see the harm of this, but since we are elder jedi and the crystal isnt really all that much powerfull then normal ones (cmon +2 dmg?) I think they could be nice enough to toss us a bone and allow us to have both robes and both crystals in return for all that grinding we did....
will on the test server i took the dark jedi robe by mistake 
i wanted the light one
