the game is so ghosty lately... no melee professions playing anymore... ranged profession trying to find tanks, which are all trying to switch to ranged professions... that's just too bad there. I would accept the number 2 anytime. When i first saw a jedi in SWG it was near patch 8 or so and i saw him taking down like 30ppl, he was a jedi master and i believe we should be able to reach the same power now again. Pull as many bad stuff on us as u want, still make it possible for us to become powerful.
Nobodoy can deny that this would be the ideal, but it can never happen in a game where the player is enabled to achieve a particular goal.
The great thing about PC games is that as long as you have the dedication, you can achieve anything that is laid out by the devs to be achievable. By letting players achieve jedi, they were bound to have a lot of people try for it; it's the most iconic part of the films....the films would be nothing without jedi in them.
Many players blame the state of jedi and the state of the game on the devs......it's their fault only in respect that they allowed jedi to be playable. But for jedi to not be playable would take out the heart of this game. I often hear the village being blamed for so many jedi around. I played well before then, well before holo farming from the weapons factory, well before the Xmas holo of 2003.....even back then, a full third of the players I knew were aiming for jedi at some point. It was inevitable that they would either achieve it, or quit the game entirely. Jedi is the only inevitable thing in this game.
Now we are in a position where my guild have a lot of jedi players, and some people with 2 jedi and 2 alts each. My friends book includes at least 50 names who are probably about 20 people! I see their jedi and mine as the classic sports car you take out on the weekend, and our alts as the working day Fords and Volkswagens ![]()
That's the only way the game can move forward, by encouraging us jedi to play both aspects of the game in order that it does not stagnate.
