Thread: Bring back BH Gank Squads and Jedi Power

Many on these forums believe that the main reason our power has been reduced was to bring balance to the PVP game. Well, unfortunately to the Dev's, that meant nerfing us to heck.


IMO, Jedi should be Uber in this game. I BH'd in the old system for a LOOONG time and I was only able to Solo one knight. That to me was the point of hunting Jedi, the challenge. I remember I once went after a guardian (he was known as one of the best on our server)with 2 others and it took us 2 hours to bring him down. He loved the fight, as did we. There was even a point were he got away and we lured him out into a trap. THAT was hunting, and a TON of fun. I didn't hunt from aboutJTL to the CU, so I can't compare that time frame, but I did make my Alt a BH again post-CU and it is WAY too easy to hunt Jedi now.


A system could be created that balanced the number of group member that couldattack with the BH. The difficulty of the BH mission could be adjusted to "recommend" how many group members a BH can bring and payment should be GREATLY increased to encourage the hunting of higher LVL players (I'd like to see 2 mil for a Master, I think the Emperor would pay that .


An example of a system would be (BH vs Jedi):

Initiate - 1 vs2 (Equal Power, 1 knight or Padi can help to encourage the Master / Padi relationship)

Padi -2 vs2 (1.5 X Power, 1 knight or Padi can help to encourage the Master / Padi relationship)

Knight -2 vs 1 (2 X Power)

Ranked -3 vs 1 (3 X Power)

Master -4 vs 1 (4 X Power)


This would all be dependent of course on the Dev's GIVING US OUR POWER BACK. A way to give back the power would be to give real bonuses at each rank LVL.


Some would say "Hey, Jango was able to gun-down a Knight", but lets be reasonable here. Jango Fett is aLEGEND in the SW universe and no Player should be equal to a SW Legend. And remember, he was easily cut down by a Master (Mace) and had to run from another"Ranked" Knight(OW). And if you think you are at the LVL of Jango, have fun soloing your mission .


Oh, and for those concerned about the GCW I still believe we should be made a tier 4 and not allowed to participate in the main GCW. We should have a shadow war. And yes, the FRS back would be nice too.

This is what SOE should do...



  • Give back lightsaber dammage.

  • Either remove the Combat level system or make our max cl level pending on our jedi rank.

  • Give BHS the option of seeing how many bhs accepted a certain missions and what the faction/name of BH it is.

I agree with the subject line as long as they allow jedi's to group again to defend ourselves.


Make it an all out brawl.


with the strength of BH now, it should allow for a more balnced fight.


you know 3 jedi to one bh, that should be equal.

First of all this is all running under the assumtion that the Ranked system won't already push jedi power up to what you've mentioned. Excluding that, this sounds like the average run of the mill, 'I've finished my template, don't care about exp, so make me uber and bring on the gank' post. So I'm done here.

i agree....i think jedi should be uber like they were precu.....i think it would be fun and challenging to fight 5 bh's at once...if 5 came for me now..i'd be toast...if two bh/cm's came after me now..i'd be toast....

1) I haven't assumed anything. No one knows anything, that's talking. You just come off sounding high-N'-mighty.


2) I've been Jedi for sometime and I am bored, but this has more to do with the never-ending nerfs we're seeing. I'm just stating that the path that the Dev's chose weakens an Icon in the SW universe while making Doc's and CM's PVP Gods. Jedi deserve to be more powerful, but they also need to be balanced so they are a bit less arrogant. If we are to get power back we need to accept the Gank-Squads and removal from the GCW, as well as potentially bringing back the NPC Saber TEF (tied in with Elite Nova Trooper hit-squads I hope )

Absolutely. Cut it in or post me a link and I'll copy it in.


My idea is based on vis, but the amount of BH depends on rank. Although, the idea of Vis controlling tha amount of BH in a hit team is a sweet idea

i agree but the padies might need groups to help defend against the bh's group as well.

Yup bring back BH gank squads and group tef....I am sick of having to standby and watch fellow jedi fight a BH. The skill is gone from BH. Back in the day when Jedi were untouchable, a bh would actually have to do some work and chose his moment very carefully...


BH was quite inaccessible because you couldn't hope to win by going head to head with a buffed knight, but by stalking them and waiting for their buffs to drop so you could nail em. Now you can sidle up to a group and attack them while their allies have to watch helplessly....Its ridiculous.....it really is. The same goes for the BH, very few bh could solo a full template prior to curb, instead they had to gather a group together to take down the high profile targets...


There was no honour in it, but a bh shouldn't really be honorable, I always tried to play as a mean underhanded bushwhacker....but I never trash talked a mark...I just got on with it....


As with everything that has been introduced post cu I feel the game has lost something

i agree with MX13, i mean it would be great being able to handle 3 bh's and have the opportunity to win against them, this will allow BH's to group and hunt, and the jedi can be powerful once again (due to the nature of a jedi i.e movies, and the amount of time it takes to get jedi), and as he said it would be fun, and i agree it would be
