hey,

Few questions here -

1. What happens to you char. when you "logout" (meaning using disconnect or exit)? does you log immediately or does he go into a "ld" status for a few secs ?

heared contradicting stuff on the matter. also if eh does go ld for how long? and is he volunrable to BH attacks at that time?

2. Once a BH has mark on you , and you see him from far and suspect him but he hasnt attacked yet. Can you attack first ?

3. How much time does it take for the BH droids to retain their lock on you once , ie you moved away from teh BH and ported to another town?

Thanks .

Pretty sure if your in a city or a private house /logout makes you dissappear instantly.

In the wilds i think you stay in the world for a bit.

if you just /exit then you are ld for 2 mins

the seeker droids update about every 20-30 secs

the only way to make sure you are safe, is to /sit then /logout

even if you disconnect and log your alt on, you will see your jedi. (that's how everyone use to buff their jedi)

heared contradicting stuff on the matter. also if eh does go ld for how long? and is he volunrable to BH attacks at that time? Never /quit or simply disconnect. You are vulnerable for up to 10 min because your Toon is still there... Same as an LD and I personally have suffered 2 BH deaths while i LD'd and its a reall bi'tch to not have any record or who hit you or when and the Devs are less than sympathetic to your plight of -250-400k xp.

2. Once a BH has mark on you , and you see him from far and suspect him but he hasnt attacked yet. Can you attack first ? No. The BH always has the option of first strike. If you see a BH and suspect that he has your mission, you can always try the /duel "exploit' (my @ss) though there are conflicting reports whether that still works. Best bet is, if A BH shows up in the middle of nowhere all buffed up and solo.. he's likely therefor you or a groupie. So take the necessary steps to either Dope up and find favorable ground for a fight, or bail. But dont wast time, likely He is just waiting for your HAM to drop if your grinding and will move in for an easy kill. If you can run, do so. No shame in it. If you can't, Try to find the roughest terrain around or building/bases to break LOS. Pull him in close, and your chances are much better than letting him kite you. While i was grinding i stayed combatant just for access to bases, they saved me more than once, either because the BH COULDN't come in, or ( if same faction) was unwilling to enter close quarter combat. ( THIS is why the CL tag is BAAADDDD!!! A BH knows right off whether or not he can take a Grinding Jedi)

3. How much time does it take for the BH droids to retain their lock on you once , ie you moved away from teh BH and ported to another town?

Seeker droids don't care where you are if they lock onto you in a player city and you move to a Starport before the BH arrives there, It will keep transmitting your location, roughly every 30-45 sec. If you Move Off planet, the BH will have to launch another Arkyd Droid to find which planet you're on. Rinse, repeat. They only thing is a Seeker droid will update your location 5-7 times and then 'lose track' of you ( give or take couple updates). But any BH worth his salt knows the drill and keps a seeker ready.. and since they can be launched while mounted now... they are constantly on the move tracking you down.. only you won't know it til they show up with a blaster bolt in your @ss, or unless they are careless and blow their element of surprise. Course on MY BH, I throw surprise to the wind. I usually come barrelling in a top speed while tabbing for my Mark. And lay in the hvy hits. Why? Because, most experienced Jedi, Like me, Keep their Radar range at 256m Which pretty much nullifies most elements of surprise in the wild. In a city a smart BH plays it cool.

ok lemme go before i go into BH smackdown 101

Thanks .

/exit or /quit: You instantly go LD and are vulnerable for quite some time (same as if you lose connection). Only exception: You log in your alt on that account - as soon as your alt enters the world, your Jedi disappears. Since CU you cannot buff your Jedi with your alt on the same account.

/sit;/logout anywhere except inside a hotel: You get a 30 second countdown and are guaranteed that your toon exits the world when the countdown reaches 0.

/sit;/logout in a hotel: Your toon instantly leaves the world - no countdown required.
