Hello all,

I was part of several large groups of imperials taking bases on Talus when I noticed a purple dot with no guild tag that was just standing around. I knew he was a BH but then again most non-jedi i run across are BH's. I was suspicious but I thought I was being paranoid after all he was an Imperial.

As the eveningwinds downand ppl leave we have one group left, of which the BH is not apart,we hit a largebase in the middle of a playercity and asa mass of level 90s roll out I'm incaped....then he walks up and DB's me without ever firing a shot.

I was abitP-Oed asI waschanging up my template and neededthe xp for my last few boxes, but no tells are exchanged. He just speweda catch phraseand moved on... a few seconds later I'm on his Bio.

I guess i could have done the /duel exploit and found out he was after me but I've never used that tactic because /duel was never intended to tell me if a BH has my mission. Hardly seemed sporting to take away the element of surprise from the BH.

I have to admit the BH was patient and waited for the opportune moment. It's exactly what i'ld do if I ever decide to try bounty hunter.

Lessons learned:If youdrop your guard for a second expect to pay a visit to the cloner, Pay attention to your intuition aka spider sense.

After all its not paranoia if people are really out to get you.

reports from bh forumns suggest duel is fixed anyway

lol, why do you salute this BH???

Hewaited for you to die, and collected the money, whats the point of taking mission on jedi?? NPC loots are faster money for BH these days.

I would rather /salute a BH that would send me a tell, and tell me get recharged bud, so we can start this fight!!!

Something quite similar happened to me when I was tanking for an area group... except this bh had just got lucky and pulled up right when I got incapped.

Those were fine tactics, and a BH is measured by his tactics. BHs who send tells, let the Jedi get recharged, then fight aren't really Bounty Hunters -- they're duelists. You might as well be dueling some guy in Theed.

What I hate is when BH's hunt people that they know are going to be overt for base defense or what not, who group up with one or more cloaking overts of opposite faction, and gank the marks so that they still get credit for the kill and Jedi still loses experience.

I honestly think that something has to be done about the Jedi/BH balance, as right now it's out of whack.

While i can see what you mean, i'll take duelists any day of the week. They are much nicer people in my experience, they will be friendly andamiable win or lose which leads to a much better atmosphere between jedi and bhs, and may one day end the hate war going on.

All is fair in love and war.

He won using my own carelessness against me. I knew better, but i got sloppy. I hold no grudges for a BH doing their job even if it felt like a swift kick in the nuts.

I'm a jedi and should be on guard every second I'm logged on.

Yeah, I agree, the duelists would be a lot more friendly. The sneaky tactics is what pisses Jedi off the most.

lol are you realy serious???send tell asking the Jedi to get ready i sure as hell would never done anything like that.......
