In every interview, Mr. Smedley says SWG subscriptions are increasing, YET, we all see people leaving this game and our friends lists shrinking.

Why does wow announce in their first page they have 4,5 million subcribers proudly but SOE is hiding it ? Why did you close Japanese servers ?

Can we please have a solid number ? Thank you very much. My guess is around 150-200k. From about 1 million before wow launched. And with 2 months afterNGE, the numbers will drop to around 100k.

Please allow me to introduce myself; I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long year, stole many a man's soul and faith Oropher, the Fallen So if you meet me, have some courtesy, have some sympathy, and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse, or I'll lay your soul to waste The Plural of Jedi is JEDI. 1 Jedi, 2 Jedi, a bazillion Jedi Pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name, but what's confusing you is just the nature of my game Guardian of Darkness Just as every Rebel is a criminal, and all the sinners saints..as heads is tails..just call me Emperor's Hand 'cause I'm in need of some restraint.

I dont believe SOE didnt shut down the Japanese servers, EA did. By the looks of things, they were just licensing the server software, and they had enough. They probably heard about the NGE, and called it quits.

I have heard that they have ~250k players, but that's old information, and I doubt it's true now.

They claimed 350k subs about a month after the game launched. I remember how crowded my server was... you couldn't go anywhere without running into droves of people, didn't matter where. It's very empty now.

In about january 2004 the game had 600k subs it was announced on the 1st page of the website.

That was the most the game ever had.

atm id say 150-200k aswell.

and thats why they dont announce it instead announcing theyve sold over 1 mill units lol....in 2 years thats pathetic tbh.

this chart shows a relative population for the more well known games... you can see that swg held a consistent number for a while but started to decline

I don't know, I'd say on the weekends Radiant probably has no more than about 600 players logged on besides dantooine, probably 50-60 in Theed/moenia/rebpost/cnet. Probably about 40 crafters or other people in there houses. Probably 250-350 quest grinding. And about 250 general players hanging out. So I'm guessing an average number would be about 1200 logged on at one time per Radiant, probably around 1500 at primetimes if that, I just cannot imagine 1500 people being on when theres hardly any in the major cities.
