Thread: Why are free unlocks still happening?

I talked to a few people whoi have not been a part of the Holo grind and they were saying that they had free unlocks? Is this really true?

If you were around before the village came and mastered profs, then why not.

I understand those people but there are claims from people who were not here before the village that they have free unlocks. So to go back to the original post is this true and if so is it fair for the guys that have been here from the start?

Before they killed the Prof Grind you got free unlocks based on the number of profs that you mastered towards your unlock. After they stopped that system at Pub 9 I think it was, no one earned unlocks anymore. So unless they fall into this category, they do not have and cannot get free unlocks.

Just to add to this, you only got free unlocks for proffs that you mastered after you hit your silent holo. HOWEVER, those that claim they were never part of the hologrind could have easily done say 12 proffs (out of interest/boredom)and been lucky enough to hit their silet without ever touching a holocron and therefore believe that they were not part of the hologrind. They were, they just didnt know it. Before holo's (before my time now) I believe everybody was in this boat. So just because someone chose never to use their holo's does not mean that they didnt almost unlock pre pub9. I did about 6 proffs before I started on holos and I did not hit my silent. My third holo with 3 days to go for pub 9 said "grind master ranger" so I said "bugger that for a game of soldiers".

You sure mate? I did 3 holo profs, Smuggler (was doing anyway) medic (was dabbling in already) and entertainer. I then mastered TK off my own back, and got a free tree unlocked at the village. Or do you mean unlock straight to jedi pre pub 9?

if they were not here b4 pub 10 then they should not have been given free unlocks. however, post-cu, and all the bugs and glitches. who knows. right now anything could happen. like on double xp week. FS grinders were given double xp for kills and when they went to the village, the conversion rate was double as well. so they really got 4 times the xp. ever since the combat upgrade was live, weird things keep happening that are not intentional. thats all i have to say about that.
