I am not sure how many people are like this, but I heard a story the other day that just got to me. A jedi who recently joined was Krayt hunting with a group, and the guild leader kept all the pearls for his own. Now this rubs me wrong because according to the guy I was talking with, this particular guild leader had a really nice saber.
I think that guild leadership should take a proactive approach to getting their jedi the kinds of crystals and pearls they need to make decent combat sabers. Through loot, purchase, krayt hunting, whatever.... and then starting with the padawans who need it the worst by assisting the padawans in getting their sabers up to par..
Of course, this takes alot of resources, and their should be a catch. Once a padawan gets a good saber, he donates further crystals pearls to the guild for his partner jedi until all the jedi in the guild have good sabers.
The plus is that the guild will have a formidable force in combat, and these kinds of actions are binding ties (like a family). A guild member is less likely to leave if the guild is helping them out.
Now, of course, we can't let people freeload, so to be in this kind of communal system, you have to pull your weight.... so any lazyness would have to be dealt with quickly.
Anyway, thought it was worth sharing. Its just a brainstorm, what do yall think.

Let me say I agree with you 100%, but in a perfect world you way would be best.Could the guild leader be storing them because the tunes now are socrappy now?

That is what I am getting at. If the guild leader already has an uber saber, why should he be hording all the pearls. It seems to me, that it would be a priority to have the guild jedi each having a very nice saber. That benefits all parties involved.

Thats what we do in my guild. Seems like you've seen a pretty craptastic guild leader. An all too common spawn in the galaxies.

I didnt see it, but a new guild member was telling us over vent about it. I thought it was really tacky and showed little respect for the guild, which I wont mention here.
Like I said, it just seems to me that you would want a strong fighting force and getting your guild jedi the crystals and pearls they need is just part of it.

I agree with you.
A guild leader should be working toward a strong guild. Not just to make himself stronger.

Agree 100%. I've looted attatchments (sadly with my BH alt) that I could have sold on auction for 10-20 million that I've just given to guild members who needed them.
The purpose of a guild is to build up your own community of friends so that you as a group can do things that alone you cannot.

now for the most part, I think BH are right and entitled to sell uber ca's and aa's for profit. I sold 2 skill tapes to jedi in the guild at a greatly reduced rate compared to what was on the trade forums for similar items. They still come out better, and I get paid. It is a win win scenario.
Pearls, Crystals, Smuggler loot, Scales, Tissues, Armor Cores. These I usually just give to the guild crafters.

I agree with you 100%. I actually left a guild full of my r/l friends because they wouldn't let me join them on krayt hunts(everyone pulling their own weight and all loot being split equally among the 2 jedi and3 reg profs). So, I joined the guild next door them in the same city that would let me earn my saber. We woouldsplit the loot equally among all the people hunting. Over half the time the older (or jedi withdecent/good/perfect sabers) would either give or hold their pearls for a younger jedi that really needed them. Even though I'm no longer a part of that guild I still frequently talk to them and respect them for that. So, to JUDGE (-Nikk-, DreadNasty, Sara, Jahruh, Cypher-dyas and Roxannexxx, and Shaila too even though he was PRlME), I appreciate all your help!
