I have 2 suggestions. And neither are meant as a Joke....Play very carefully, watching around you at all times. Or, play your alt.
honestly
a: don't use your purple bar around anything except creatures (which is hard because I know alot of NPCs like to spawn on me or the random player drives by) or
b: play you alt.
Thus far, no one has been able to say exactly what gives you vis and how much it takes to get on the hunter terminals. My belief is strongly leaning to, no matter how much vis you get.. you will be on the terms just for being a jedi, the more vis you get determines how much your mission will cycle on the terms (of course this is just my opinion).
good luck with your new lifestyle.. you game play on your character will change drastically.
Don't do anything that wll use or modify force while there is an NPC or an ungroup pet, droid or player within 32m of you. This includes equiping or unequiping your saber or your robes. Since 2 players targeting each other or any other target willoften show adifferent range, your better off adding a nice safety buffer to that 32m.
This means you can walk around town about like a merchant might, you can hang in the cantina and BS, or you can kill critters with your group out in the styx. Nothing else in the game is safe.
...or at least you won't add to your vis. If you already have vis, then you can still be on the terminals. It takes 3 weeks for your visibility to decay to zero and your mission to completely disappear from the terminals. Add another 3 days for the last possible mission on you to decay, and then you can safely go afk in the worlds largest chat room.

As long as you don't use any force powers, saber attacks or equipped both in front of an NPC within 32m. You should be fine.
Don't grind with normals cause they will give you vis and if they leader disband.
Grind with your guild or a jedi group. Don't have any macro running only when you grind and when you are done with that lair or a dot come close turn it off and stop fighting.

Funny you say that, i was grinding on talus, and keeping in check on all the visiblity rules, like get to your mission, hover your mouse over the radar to see whats what. and keeping the onscreen map, displayed. ready to switch my saber while in battle, when spotting a mark on the overhead map. (Certain people just love flying past you which is annoying.)
Two days of this next thing i new a BH was attacking me. The moral of the story is, no matter how hard you try to avoid, vis eventualy you get it.
Before group grinding came into play the time it took to grind jedi was a joke and then next you die by the hands of the BH and two days of grinding down the drain.
The best advice i can give is stay on kash, and stay in the hunting grounds if possible, since you need to do quests to get entrance into the grounds includinga space one, which most people can't be arsed doing. Or get a group of people go to kash enter the cavens, since you can choose between think its 10 instances and grind on the 2nd level since they spawn fast as well. Although i was a full template when doing the quests, I only thought about these methods and never actually carried it out so not sure if they work or not.
