Thread: Is it possible that the developers plan to remove force bar?

With the upcoming increases in action and mind costs for most Jedi abilities, I wonder if the developers are realizing that the Force bar is useless in the CU. Pre-CU it was dead necessary because Jedi back then were extremely powerful. In the CU however, force bar seems to be the only thing that holds us back. Even as a master powers, I find it difficult to execute attacks because believe it or not, lots of abilities on powers require lots of action. If they did remove the force bar, it would require lots of changing to many of the disciples.

removing the force bar would be the greatest thing the game could offer to jedi. the force system doesnt work and is eventually what kills all jedi in a fight. the system needs to be changed to a force accuracy and potency system as you use up your skill points and attain boxes that make you have stronger force attacks and more powerful powers attacks. all bh know is outlast the force and you will be fighting a cl level 32 guy with no skills. force is nothing but a limiter and nothing more....who is against this....bh and pre cu jedi who have sabers with low sac costs. no other player in the game has to manage 4 bars to fight or even do anything as a matter of fact. getting rid of the force bar will at least make stronger jedi viable again.

I do not agree on removing the force bar... On the movies, according to novels they do not have unlimited force usage. They do channel... They do need force from around them...

Besides.. If they make us stronger and put our limitations in force usage it would be a good way of balancing us and giving us power.

so what your saying is remove the force pool and have our sabers just use action like all the rest of the weapons in this game. its a cool idea, but i dont see that comming into the game. the force heals and the amount of force to apply abilities is what kills most jedi. AI takes what 1k force to apply for every 30 secs. force armor takes what 150? all the different special abilities force cost needs to be reduced. that will help the jedi to be able to last longer in battles.

actually our sabers use action and mind right now....its no different except for the idea that bh cant just root, snare, kd, make you heal, then try to kill u. this would also eliminate the need for lower skills traded for higher skills as your skill points are used up...this would actually give our templates room for new skills....lets say you are taking the saber lines of two handed and you have about half yoru boxes used up...you do 500 damage in your shot, well the same shot when you have used up all your boxes hits for a 1000. same with force run, the more boxes you use up in jedi, the faster your force run...and so on with other skills.

i dont think the force bar should be removed, but the force cost from some moves should be. i think only moves with which i use force specifically, (i.e. force heal, infusion, force armor, force absorb etc etc etc) should require force. swinging my saber around should not require force. it already costs action and i think it should just be left at that. let the physical moves require the action, the physical part of our fighting, and the force be left for our enhancements and so forth.

hmmm. i help groups grind all the time. spin group. my action doesnt go down much at all. my force does. if i didnt have force cost on my saber and reduced force cost on aura and infusion i could spin all day

yeah, although i see where your coming from the force bar is the only thing these days which doesn't make your jedi feel like any other elite proffesion, it kind of makes you feel speical to actually have it, in a small kind of way.
