Thread: SOE Designer Leaders Thanks for Making Jedi 0.65% of other Combat Professions
Professions, so while you continue to micromanage at that level,
whichwill never get us anywhere but a dissatisfied customer base,
we continue to all suffer the real issues of SWG, and further have
added insult to injury with your repeated nerfing, tweaking, up to and
including wholesale revamping of our roles that we've built and
invested both spirit and time in achieving.
leaders. Get some perspective. Stop trying to fix the game
by trying to make the Queen and the Rook equal game pieces. Step
back. The Queen and the Rook are not supposed to be equal, but
when you don't have a game board and game design to put the pieces on,
it seems like we're unbalanced.
viewing one profession versus another absent a game board, or in our
case, absent a battleground, a map, or an instanced event, where we can
put our unequal roles to use as members of a diverse and complementary
multiplayer (say 5v5 or more) combat, which should be engaging, and
offer rewards of various kinds to keep us engaged (even if its a
victory count, ranks, and other non-loot rewards; though loot rewards
are certainly appropriate, too.)
professions. Our professions are not the issue here. Stop
trying to make ranged = melee, and mezzers = tanks, and Jedi = ranged,
etc. That is as appropriate as trying to make the Queen =
Rook. Give us the gameboard that makes the Queen a part of an
overall game.
designers. Poor communicators. The players will not
continue to take this endless changing of their game, and game
degredation. Get off the wrong priorities and quit messing
wholesale with professions. Get on to the GCW and the venues of
multiplayer combat, where your efforts should strategically be.

is something that would get your thread removed, since you obivously
did not read any of my previous posts before making your wild

at this point? lol they have been bad all along mate
they have lef6 some bugs ingame for years
they have introduced and left bugs ingame every single patch
they have segmented the team for expansions gimping the fix and maintenance teams
they have ignored us for months on end
they have introduced, left ingame, and then callled bugs working as intended when they know darn well its an outright lie
theyy have never once shown any aptitude for adding anything worthwhile to this game, rather they go for the easy nerf bat at every opportunity
/agree
Althoughyou have been just wasting your time. Nobody will respond or do anything on the side of SOE. ![]()

Exactly so. The devs have been on the wrong hunt from the beginning when half the content didn't exist that we have today. The content is all around us, but the combat elements are still not here, never have been. Our guild has been all but destroyed by Publish 24, most of our players are playing other games, for the first time in our guild's history, they're creating toons in other MMORPG's and joining up.
Why the devs keep pushing the Profession's buttons and toying with all of us, as they fumble in the dark for balance they can never achieve, rather than deal with GCW issues that pull all the roles together, is beyond anything I've ever seen in business. It's hard to believe that they've gone through any change in top leaders on the SWG team, to be so blind to the needs of the game, through what we think is multiple SWG dev teams. It's like they're replacing one short-sighted design leader with another, and with the same type of blindness.

QFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only do we not have the GCW and combat venues, but what we have instead is this abomination of a SWG universe dominated by a lame BH-Jedi conflict. It's not Star Wars, its a Bounty Hunter game. Get rid of this nonsense and give us a GCW that we can actually *gasp* fight a war between Rebels and Imperials.
Oh My!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all righty...clearly most of you need to learn to pvp.
Since pub 24 I have killed every bh who has come for me and died once in pvp to another jedi and it was probably due to the fact that my force armor wore off and I didnt notice because my ping spiked from 50 range to 500 range
hmm would depend on ones saber and template now wouldnt it?
simplistic answers from a simplton

Hehe. I've been saying this till I'm blue in the face. Those of us who have been here long enough know how to recognize the dead ends that SOE goes down, just as we know, fundamentally, that the design has to change. It's a revamp writing on the walls. As much as it pained us, we saw it coming with Doctor, we saw it coming with many things along the way.
So it is with this BH vs. Jedi thing. Deep down, we know that this is not the basis for a Star Wars MMORPG, as SOE has set it up to be. We know *wink,* don't we, that this will be unplugged at some point, and be followed up with something related to an actual Star Wars between rebs and imps.
You do know that don't you? Get ahead of the curve. It will take SOE another year to figure that out. So all you peeps who respec'd to the flavor of the phase, the bounty hunter, will someday be faced with the fact that its time to change again.
We can see the writing on the wall regarding bad design, and bad focus, and pinning BH v. Jedi up on the priority list was a bad mistake. The game suffers for the experience and will change. It's only a matter of time, and continued lost customers in the meantime.
