Thread: New loot weapons not nearly what they were shown as.

As an unfinished template I was worried about the new loot weapons for BHs in ToOW. But it seems that the weapons shown on the friday feature aren't the same stats as the ones in live. The sac is 127 and the damage is much lower, it can't be sliced or pup'd. In one sense, I feel bad that we were lied too, but at the same time it was the right decision considering the affect it would have on weaponsmiths. Why buy weapons from weaponsmiths if the loot weapons are triple stat capped. It would have been totally unbalanced.

Yeah, so far all the weapons i've gotten have been crap compared to any weapon I own. Thats alot of work for a display toy.

Its a shame they can't help but to ruin the stats on things. Why not just make the weapons lootable schematics and components like the Trando rifle and let WS's (and AS's for those armor loots) craft them?

Doesn't anyone ever remember that blue frog weapons and beta looted weapons are ALWAYS at max stat? They are never how they come out in live.

Are the weapons still good enough to 1 shot people? If so they need some balance

It looks like some component recipes have been found for the 'cube', including a coil for the sfour carbine. So there are probably schematic recipies and they can be crafted for better stats by WS.

The weapon statsfrom the FF are from the beta frogs.

The weapon stats on the FF were from the BETA, but most people assumed that since that was what is being shown to everyone, thats how they would be in live. Why would they show the stats from Beta in the FF if they weren't going in live? Its like showing an awesome quest to market the game, then deleting it when it goes live. Everyone is looking for the quest only to find it doesn't exist. It kinda makes you mad. If they had said these stats are only for Beta, people might not be as upset, but they basically said you can get these weapons and next to the weapons were stats that made people drool. Everyone assumed those were the stats of the weapons.

This works well because it keeps the crafter involved, and still gives worthwhile loot to the players.
I dont like the idea of comepleting a challenging quest only to find out Ive got a piece of gargbage or a showpiece that Im gonna put im my private house for only me to see.
