I remember that day with every little detail. The day of SWG's launch. No doubt one of the greatest experiences in gaming I have ever had. It was my first MMO and it hooked me.
"Its only a giant sand beetle. I should be able to take on this Creatuer Handler no problem!"....PWNED i thought wrong
"We got two full groups of 20 with another guild on the way, we can do this!" PWNED by an AT-ST when trying to take over the original Weapons Facility on naboo
"Holy **edit** thats a huge **edit**!"My first encounter with a Giant Peko Peko.
"Man my feet hurt" Don't really miss those days of walking everywhere but its cool to think we actually did it at one point
From the days like those i remember and keep with me I thankSWG
When guild's were full of members who actually cared enough to hold meetings, i thank SWG for those days
When you could be side by side with a friend completely surrounded by 10 rancors and live to tell the story, i thank SWG for those days
When the battles of the GCW were 50 on 50 or even 100 on 100 rather than 10 on 10 or 15 on 15, I thank SWG for those days
The feeling you got after mastering a profession that you worked hard for, I thank SWG for those days
The first time i held a lightsaber, I thank SWG for that day
The first time i killed a BH, I thank SWG for that day
When CSR's actually cared and helped, I thanks SWG for that day
Trying to navigate through the warren and other original bunkers and theme park quests, I thank SWG for those days.
For all the laughs, the kills, the friends i made and the memories, i thank SWG for those days. My friends and I along with all of you have had a great time playing SWG onetime or another. It might of been a while but i'm sure every one of you can think back to when this game was actually fun.
Now it seems like the days of fun are in the past, and i cannot remember the last time i logged in because i wanted to have fun rather than logging in because i felt obligated to do so. I've been holding on to my account in the hopes that things would get better, in the hopes that one day yet again I would have fun. But my hopes have been shattered once again and I cannot deal with it any longer. I'm sorry to say this but for now I am actually through playing SWG.
It's been fun, and there is always the chance they might fix the bugs and unbalance they have brought about, but honestly with the way things are going I am not planning on that happening. So Goodbye my friends, Gl, and may the force be with you all!

i remember those days, when you thougth Shaupats were god. and when Naboo was a scary place, going to the Geo Caves the first time and getting killed by the Enhaned Kwis. I canceled my account already, i miss SWG.
I miss those days too... Boy was I proud to finally master TK after working hard at it for 3 weeks with my Doc friend sitting besides me to remove states because he couldn't help without gimping my XP.
It took longer to master a profession but you felt an accomplishment.
Just 3 days ago, I decided to regrind my alt. I was master doc, some bioengineer and 3 columns of brawler. my objective was to get TK/Pike/Doc4000. So i get into a group and hit singles till i get the pike's spin attack and after that, massive XP came in. I was spinning my pike for 30-50 damage per target and getting 4.5k of XP per kill since I was around level 60. I mastered TK again AND Pike in 2 shory days (10 hours total maybe). Getting full XP for slapping a mob once and letting someone else do the killing isn't right but it's what people wanted.
Anyways, no point in ranting about that...
I cancelled my account too, it's still good for 25 days. I'm going on a business trip in mid-november and my laptop can't handle the game, so when I come back afeter 7 days without the game and my account expired, i'll decide if I keep playing or not but i'm pretty sure it's not going to happen.
One thing for sure, i'm not sending another dime on stupid expantions every time they add a planet and 50 quests... and a carrot crystal
