If i delete the toon i unlocked with, will i lose my Jedi? ive heard not... but want to be sure.

Weird i swear a read somewhere that the main no longer had a tie to the Jedi, and it was a totally different slot. But i cant find a CSR in chat to confirm, as usual. Thanks though.
