Hey folks,
I wonder how many of the Jedi out there has no armorbreak at all, and how useful it is? With the AB-sliced armors, and the very limited usage of this skill I'm curious how do you think about it. I have 1244 LS now, but thinking about a different template, and if I could just leave AB out, that'd be a bit easier in grind.
Is it really a "must"?
Discuss.

Armorbreak is the best , soon as you AB someone and call their target, they drop in a second

If you ask me AB is a must. As an example when I solo lvl 84 krayts a normal hit for me with no AB is usually between 400-450 with AB applied it goes to 680-705. The numbers speak for themselfs.

I have only the basic variation, bu I found that when fighting a BH, it's a waste of (precious) time. It doesn't last long, and because my target runs around, I'm not realyl able to take advantage.
It seems I miss something and doing it wrong, but I just don't see the point in the "hype" around this skill.
Though, I'm still open for the opinions.

Its the first skill I use when fighting a bounty hunter. Since I'm MLS I have the better version of it, I can't really speak about the lesser one. I dont remember how less effective it is. My opinion is the same though, its an invaluable skill for me.

Get AB. I hunt full temps all the time, and i am too lazy to spend 1.2mil for an AB slice because if i did i would want my armor ADKed. Sure lots of people have AB sliced armor, but not everyone. I think it is worth having. I would say 60% of the BH after you will not have AB sliced armor.
..just a BH perspective ![]()

In PVP its invaluable - a M.Def has 7000 before being AB and effectivly 1800 after
thast a lot of wasted skillpoints there.

Also, if you can get a /follow on them it makes it really hard for them to kite you.

/fo does work wonders and does keep them from the kite tactic, unless they've got root. AB even on AB sliced armor does about 50% more dmg than without it, so it is worth the time to have. States are important as well, but not many jedi use them because they don't know how powerful they can be, especially against the current FOTM MBH's.
