Not sure about pistols outdamaging sabers to be honest, my alt uses pistols and she hits for less than my jedi generally.

Most pistols 300-900 ish or some like ion stunner 300-700 with 120 elemental.

Saber has much tighter damage range and i think in general better multipliers.

Rifles are the nuker class so will always be higher damage.

The point is that using the default move, a Master Lightsaber can domore damage with alaser rifle then he can with a post CU / no premium pearl LS. This is with NO rifle experience. This is screwed up.

And how many times will that default move hit against someone with high defenses? Raw damage numbers do not tell the whole story.

You will have much better accuracy with a LS, and if you are suggesting that a master Lightsaber can do less damage with a sabre with bad pearls than he does using ranged shot and an ALR your smoking something illegal.

With armourbreak and a kd, powerstrike outdamages any special other than snipershot, which is so limited as to be useless in general PvP apart from an opener, and is designed to be the highest damage special in the game, to give rifleman the role intended for them.

Generally , because of its tight min/max spread of damage, the more defence stacked your opponent, in PvP, the higher level the opponent in PvE, the more damage the saber will do compared to other weapons in the game.

In other words, in most situations, min damage is important, not max, and that is where sabers shine.

Perhaps I suck at Jedi (likely), perhaps we learned to fight him, but my full template paddy has died to Necrosis 3-4 times without ever defeating him, my MBH/MCarbs with same group spanked him with no deaths and no problems first time out. His carbine's min damage is barely lower than my saber max.

Jedi to fight high-end content? Pfft. Hokey pearls and phoney modified speed numbers are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

And how is this point relevant? Most horse mounted US cavalry in the old west were killed by tomohawk, does it makeaxes equal to a Henry rifle? What is the ratio of robots & troopers killed by light saber to the number of jedi killed by blaster? 100 to 1? The jedi fell by ambush and to superior numbers, not because their weapons were inferior. Emotion 1, logic 0.
