Noob jedi here.

I was thinking for rp reasons to use a single handed saber, but my guildies who are jedi have been telling me that I should use a double handed saber. Are the specials and the dammage for the double handed just that much better?

Is there a post anywhere that talks ab out the different types of sabers and their pro's and cons?

All the sabers are the same.

If you go MLS, it doesnt matter what saber hilt you use. You can use the specials with any saber type.

If you only go 4004, then you are set using a 1handed because thats where all of your speed and accuracy is.

So if you go MLS, it doesnt matter. If you are going something short of MLS you basically need 0404 or something along those lines.

The 0400 line has the Armor Break and Power Attack in it and is pretty much required.

their is no differnce between the sabers atm, but as mls you can use any saber u wish, but the main reason why they are saying for you to use a 2hd saber is because if you choose to drop mls then you want 2hd saber tree for armorbreak

that is the only reason.

Is armor break that important, or is that a stupid question?

Armor Break is the single most important offensive attack a Jedi has available to them
