stop asking for deadlines...

There is no way the Devs have any educated guess as to when it will be complete (they have MANY things to factor in) so here are our 2 situations..

A) The devs tell us itll be out in a month, even though it takes more than a month to prepare, and in a month when it hasnt come out the forums are flooded with "OMG DEVS LIED TO US AGAIN IM CANELLING" and "NEVER TRUST SOE EVER EVER EVER"

B) the devs tell us itll be out in 6 months, and the forums are flooded with
"OMG SIX MONTHS IS WAY TO LONG I WANT IT NOW" and "GIVE ME FRS NEXT WEEK OR I CANCEL"

if you ever stop to think about it logically, why WOULD they give you guys a deadline if they are going to be kicked in the nuts over it either way....

soon the newer mmorpg's will be out and alot of people need to know if they are waisting their money on a game that isnt going to get any better or get in the opening day of a newer game. All experience mmorpg gamers know that one of the key to being on top is to get in the game early. Most full templates, mid quest knights, and finished knights are pretty much hanging around for one answer, will they be a frs in our future. or even our lifetime the way its going. Is soe wating till jedi numbers drop before the reinstate it? are they even worried about it because the contract is up for review? do they even really care till jedi's time comes up again after they do the nerf rounds on all other proffesions? Alot of people have lost all hope that we will ever get one again. But the real problem is are we just being lied to or is soe actually working on it. After a project gets turned down, usually resources in developement get shifted, the devs and lucas point the blame for the failure at each other, and weget caught in the middle with no playable game. Either way, its come down to a lack of trust in soe's abilities to produce one and with an abismal record in customer satisfaction do they really care?

why soe just doenst ask us, the jedi, what we would like to see in a frs and frs system amazes me. it seems they go out of their way not to include players that have been around since the original beta game of what works and doesnt work. I would trust the opinion ofone guy who has been playing the game longer than their complete develpment staffs time put together. when any company creates a product it test markets, does sampling, and tries to get opinions about the product....soe's version is, throw it out half baked, let the players complain about the glitches, do a hot fix, then fix the hot fix. when all along an experience player would have told them it doesnt work to start with....ie,,,the c.u.

rumor has it, LA turned down 3 proposed FRS. It seems SOE wants the FRS to be strickly PVP, while LA is thinking more quest based with perhaps stuff like kinght-paddy relationship. Doesnt look like a FRS will be out before the new year.

I don't need a deadline either, all I would like to see is a post once in a while saying look this is where we are at, and this is where we are looking at going. The don't even have to do it them selves. MR. Jedi Corrispondant you can now release this info..

The longer it goes the more I have to wonder, are they even working on it at all. In one direction I see FRS is coming and in the other direction I see D&D online is coming in the second half of 2005. Atleast I have a time line for D&D.

Bottomline is that 6 months is too long to have no info on it (and I consider the info, if you want to call it that, that they apparently put out nothing.) If you really want to think about it we are stockholders so to speak in this game, we should atleast know something.

13 months to unlock Jedi $194.87
6 months to become "Full temp" $87.96

Having SOE take it all away in a single patch...Priceless

the way I see it is I did a 7 month grind to get completed template, and was real excited about getting the knight title/robes. Got into the Knight trials, and then boom. gone....

Now six months later, I am still waiting for the title...

This is the same askeeping any onther profession from attaining a master box for their profession even tho they got the xp for it.

Imagine a BH (just a hypothetical example) spends a week or two to get invest IV, then has enough xp for the Master Bounty Hunter box, then SoE decides to say "Well, we see problems with the Master BH box, so we are going to take it out....we'll keep you updated on it....." and then no word of it's return for 6 months or more.

You'd see alot of ticked of bh's runnin around....

Welcome to the New Galactic Empire, a very hidden organization that has managed to kill far more citizens and destroy far more communities than theImperial Navycould have ever dreamed of.....

I don't need deadlines, I would just like some information. For all we know, they aren't even working on it right now. It would be nice to let us know where they are in the development of the FRS. Tell us what's going on right now. Say something like "Lucas has approved the current design and it is being programmed which will take some time" or "Lucas hasn't approved the design and we don't have time with the new expansion to work ona new design until after the expansion is released" or something else. A little information would go a long way to shutting people up about when the FRS is going to be released. Also, if they give an estimated time of release for the FRS and it is too long for people to wait, then let them leave. It would at least cut down on the jedi that everyone is arguing about. If they give a deadline and it gets moved back, well, its an estimated deadline. If peeps are too stupid to understand what the word "estimated" means and if they want to leave becase they feel they were lied to, then let them leave and it cuts down on jedi numbers. I think more information is better than no information. At this point, not saying anything leaves us in the dark and promotes many different rumors and feelings that the devs have abandoned the FRS and know if they say that that they will lose alot of players who have been waiting months for it. I guess we will just have to wait and see which direction they go with this silence.
