Thread: Tiggs, please comment on bad rumor

This link was posted in our Myspace SWG group... I take it witha grain of salt, but would really appreciate just a post that says its a rumor from Tiggs, or someone in the biz.

Basically says
#1 - Jedi will be a learnable basic profession, thats why they are being nerfed.
#2 - Melee is being removed as a profession
#3 - You cant gain levels thru grinding, now u will have to do missions from the trainers, and when u complete the missions, they give u the boxes.
I am currently done 3/6 phases for my village, and am about to finish a template switch to a Melee Tank. I am very much looking forward to my extra character slot when i hit padawan. So if these changes took place, I personally would be cancelled on execution.

well...we all dont know what to believe...some are confused, some are pissed, some dont believe...alllll we can do is wait. if this does happen..sure its gonna suck, its going to REALLY suck...but change is alright sometimes i guess....see what else they can do to ruin the game. then adjust to it.

Do not take any notice of anystuff like this. Next week someone will invent a new rumour for you all too worry about. As ive said before, if it isnt posted by a Dev then its most likely bull**edit**.

DeV's dont post much, and if they do. its usually tellling us why they deleted/locked a thread.

Well its good to see rumors aren't restricted to only the Force Sensitive Forums. I swear about once a week someone would have a 'very reliable friend in the business' that leaked some information over there.

LOL. If that were to ever come to pass the game would just STOP. There would be so many people that would just leave the game in an instant. No Melee, Jedi a learnable prof. from onset and no grinding. LOL. Like I said the game would be just cease to exist at that moment that occured.

I'm also noticing that since this last update, everyone is having problems with their glowy status too. Could that be in indicator that at least the Jedi rumor may be true. God I hope not. Its seems all the good stuff for SWG was here before I was, now this, *sigh*

No I think the FS bug is one of two things. Either one they borked the system unintentionally OR there is something that must be done on mustafar to become glowy. My bet is the mustafar thing cause it's pretty simple math. People want Jedi, SOE wants to sell expansions.

Evidence that supports the theory:
- Buffing of other classes and weakening of Jedi to the point that they suck enough that they should be a starting profession (Currently 90% complete)
- Inability to gain "glowy" status to begin force sensitive quests
- Nerfing of pearls, regarding both quality of the pearls and the ease of getting them (Time sink to add at the end of Jedi instead of the beginning)
- SOE's tendency to do the worst possible thing
- The amount of new players that would buy SWG if they could have a lightsaber within 5 minutes of logging into the game
Evidence that denies the theory:
- Uhhhh....
Right now my belief is that the Jedi-As-Starting-Profession possibility is pretty high. The only other option I can see is that SOE had planned to have the FRS reinstated in order to buff existing Jedi back into a state of being worth the incredibly long grind again. LucasArts rejected the FRS idea, and now the whole plan has been put into limbo since there is no existing plan to give Jedi any more strength by any means.
I could get into a whole big rant here, but I'm just gonna cut it off.
